It seems you think spec is everything, like a PS3 owner thinking it's console is better than others due to it's Cell CPU. Just like your Mali in this instance. The complete package matter, not just one link in the chain.
The SII Skyrocket is a UNRELEASED AT&T US phone. Sammy is making it on AT&T's order. And it's not the phone we're talking about is it? No.
Let's instead look at another Sammy phone, just as new phone as the RAZR, The Galaxy Nexus. Also with a 720 screen res. as the Skyrocket. What's it's GPU? Right, the same as RAZR, only running at 80MHz higher.
The SII's high price has nothing to do with it's HW, but marketing cost built in to it's price. Sammy has always sold their phones overpriced compared to others. Nothing new under the sun here.
Hence one gets much more phone both per money, and overall, when buying the RAZR. Sammy though, has been very busy copying Motorola's smart actions for their coming SII, which has gotten a delayed premiere.
You can snuggle as much as you want with your low-res plastic phone for my sake. I prefer my hi-res, quality built RAZR any day. Love it's smart actions, webtop, brilliant accessories, government grade encryption for my work e-mail etc.
Don't worry, no one ever took your claimed developership seriously anyway. Still haven't learned that just about any device running the SGX540@304MHz also runs at qHD, just like the RAZR?
Wow, too bad for you. Only difference is the the RAZR's higher clocked CPU.
SGX540@304MHz is meant for qHD.
Tegra 2@300MHz with same GPU output is also for qHD.
Mali 400 can easily be used for qHD and 720. Using it on a 480 is a complete waste.
Let's keep it basic. Your main interface with your phone is your screen. Your interface is large, 4.3" just as mine. Only mine is much clearer, can show much more at the same time, and it reproduces colors more accurately.
Both are really fast phones.
Both with much RAM, only the RAZR has about 100MB more available according to the same task manager I used on both, Go!
And both can play 3D games. Games can be more detailed on mine due to higher resolution. Your's can get higher fps, but doesn't get you better graphics as the RAZR can handle all the heavy 3D games I've tested.
Seeing as you're a hardcore Sammy fanboy, how much do you just adore the fact that the iPhone 4s and iPad 2 utilizes the most powerful mobile GPU? The SGX543MP2.

Just bought this phone yesterday. Dual core is very responsive not sluggish very impressed with the housing and sleekness of this device. Honestly its a good buy!! My final say is this phone was truly love at first sight thx MOTO!!

Motorola Razr XT910 BAD quality..
I got my Razr xt910 a month back..It was working fine till i saw the crack on the screen two days back..Though the phone was working fine,i gave it to the motorola service centre to have them check on the same for which they charged me 10800 INR to have the glass and the Screen changed..The phone was neither dropped nor used sloppily..

Samsung sp... morethanks for keeping the conversation classy i'm not high i'm talking facts well maybe i'm not approved developer but i sure as hell know about technology and mobile phones more than you answer this why would motorola add such crappy outdated gpu on a qhd screen question number 2 why is a one year old phone such samsung galaxy s2 still more expensive than your precious razr? question number 3 if motorola such a great company why did they sell it to google? question number 3 did you know that there is samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket hd with 720p screen? i'm not saying that the razr is a bad smartphone it's a very good smartphone with unique design it just can't compete with samsung galaxy s2 accept that fact.

Samsung spends a lot of money promoting the SII. They still promote it as the world's slimmest smart phone in some countries with daily TV spots. All this marketing is easy to see on it's price, both at launch and even now.
Motorola does not spend money on marketing in Europe at the moment, UK and perhaps Germany excluded. Hence the approx 3 month old RAZR is available for the same price as the SII already. A great buy, and will be relevant for longer du to higher screen res. The resolution below the SII has already lost support in new versions of apps, even such as facebook.
I know of another very popular phone, it's called iPhone.
It's not the best phone, and it's designed to be broken with ease.
Both iPhone and SII gets many hits due to fanboy fights. SII/Sammy owners to boast everyday, and vote every day. Same the other way around.

The resolution of the SII is not 'amazing', it's a crappy 800 by 480. Age old resolution!
How in the world does a CLAIMED programmer like yourself not know that?
Or did you mean amazingly crappy?
In fact, as mentioned, even my previous age old Milestone had 854 by 480, meaning 25920 more pixels and a lot higher ppi than the SII, as it was divided over a 3.7" screen. The Atrix is older, have a slightly smaller screen (4"), and yet much higher resolution and also a properly calibrated screen. Meaning natural colors and not overly saturated with fake green as the SII.
My SII was working 'just fine' as an SII should, but it was never a great phone. All SII's have oversaturated colors with green/yellow tint and super-low resolution for a 4.3" display. I get that you like your SII, it's an okay phone. But for me, the Atrix is better, and the RAZR even better.
I've had the RAZR for two months now already. That's twice as long as I bothered to hold on to the SII.
