The battery gets drained within 5 hours on idle time. When you check the battery usage details it shows over 70% utilisation by the Android OS. I can confirm that all the seetings have been optimised for better battery use, buts still does not make any diffrence

it is now 3 weeks with my motorola razr xt910. Now i think it is right time to provide some feedback
I have thoroughly enjoyed. Everything in this phone is of very high quality. definitely it surpasses iphone 4s and GS2 and every phone in its category overall. Motorola engineers have done a great job . Sound quality is awesome and all my metal songs i have (heavy bass and guitar) gets played in outstanding way.
On the other hand, as usual motorola track record in india by way of poor marketing and not projecting such a high quality phone is hard to understand.
Motorola also kept its tradition of
Not giving a leather case or pouch,
Providing a very low quality head phone. (when i used this headphone supplied with the package, it sounded like a 3rd grade sound quality and i was taken aback. But when i changed the headphone that was supplied with xt720 which i still have, the sound quality was stunning.) Motorola razr is miles ahead in sound quality when compared to iphone 4s and Galaxy S2.
the above 2 are understandable. but why did motorola remove the FM functionality. It is extremely hard to understand.
this is one great phone of very high quality and worth buying.

But if you want a combination of a tablet and a smartphone, then go for the Samsung Galaxy Note. They are both good in terms of speed, screen resolution, thickness, and camera.

I hv similar prob too.. I bought this phone yesterday from Singapore.. I charged it full but the battery always drop 10% in each 15~20 minutes.. Its very different from the robbie that I read before.. I buy this phone Coz I thought the battery perform is better than my HTC desire hd.. But the fact Is no.. Its worst.. Why? Could somebody help me?

Nice phone
Even its only last 8 hour battery life with online, sms, call.l, chat, fb, n twitter.
Quite fascinating phone.

Battery life on mine is great. Got it just a few days ago now, still haven't charged it exept the first time. Have downloaded quite a few apps by now over wi-fi including NFS shift on sale yesterday and reckless driving. Both quite large games after downloading all.
Normal use should keep it awake for a few days without problem. How ever there can always be some app that messes up and drains the battery, as well as cause instability.
It has of the bigger batteries among smartphones as well as a very energy efficient battery. So wi-fi/data should eat up most of your battery in general. Or heavy gaming.

But the battery does not last in the whole day!! Within 15 mins 10% drained. Pls help,, i cant belive from the others that the battery lasts 16hrs!!

John Ruiz, 07 Dec 2011so that means i'm stuck with this Gingerbread? or i can dow... moreYou will receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich early 2012 and enjoy more features like continuous auto-focus in the camcorder, etc. This is one advantage as Google bought Motorola Mobility, so please stick with the RAZR XT910.

went to actually buy this, awesome phone but waaay too big. I compared with my n8 and the nexus, the size is just rediculous. would go for the nexus overall, just because of the size issue
