i NEVER said the v3 was crap... i owned one! i said its crap how motorola have since then copied every singe release based on the one design. as for the sony ericsson bash for them having candy bar phones... look at the w859i? slide phone? completely orignal keypad concept on the front of it... the orange walkman lights even flash the the beat of the song you are playing... what other company offeres this? have you seen a sony ericsson z610? hat is a completely orignal flip phone, with a hidded oled screen? please remind me who has done this before? also sony ericsson make lots of candy bar phone but no one to me is the same...w950? not the stadard type of phone you said? p990i? the best smart phone out on the market today? orignal? and i have to dis agree the samsung x820 does not look like the l7 or any other moto remake of it.. it sily a very slim phone... slimmer than the moto infact? desing looks a lot better and its not made of tack fol for the keys also i'd like to add sony ericsson were vertually un heard of in 04/05 nd now they are nearly the biggest 3 biggest mobile manufacurer on the planet? what have moto done in this time ? made another 500 v3's i'd also like to say that k750 was a much better phone sold more models that the v3 could hope to

    SE doesnt have fantastic function n absolutely not fantastic design. They only have the fantastic 'WALKMAN' n 'CYBERSHOT' logo. N tht 500 same candybar design with different keypad layout is nth fantastic.
    Enough said, does anybody know when will this be released? Since MAXX is already out couple of days ago.

        IMO : Motorola is the best for the designs amd innovations.
        Motorola is the first brand make the slimmest phone for 2 years and the market got positive respons, 50 million units are sold just for "Motorola V3 Razr". If look "Motorola V3 Razr" features is nothing good but people chose "Motorola V3 Razr: because the design is so elegant. After that Samsung and other brands following to copy make slimmest phone. That's true; every people look "Samsung X820" they said "that's copy "Motorola L6" or "Motorola L7" design". And people look other Samsung slimmest flip phone; they will said "that's copy "Motorola V3 Razr" design".
        IMO : Motorola Rizr is great design and innovations.

          gotta think of it a different way mate... how many phones these days have full length movies ect on them? wifi ect... what have moto offered? another 6 versions of the v3 lol... yes it was great when it came out.. 2004... 6 years later they have mode no real development in terms of usability.. disign.. or anything... look at companys like sony ericsson who are in my opinion the market leaders at the moment... their phones have fantastic features and some good desing in them... they have found the balance beween the two whee as motorola at one point were refusing to pack a phone with features saying their customers need none... a phone hasto look good.. finaly they admited they needed something and made the v3x... a complete mistake of a phone.

            If u're talking about the feature then it is diff story.I do agree MOTO's feature cant compare to those 'multimedia computer' of NOKIA. But still, there are people out there tht prefer to carry MOTO for the style compare to those phone with bombastic feature which they didnt use.

              there nearly exaclt the same... the numeric keypad is the orignal from the v3 and v3i. its practically the same phone... for some reason motorola base their entre like on looks... as their company believe looks sell phones and not featres.. well if somone likes the look of every v3.. good on em...the mobil community os moving forwars where as moto are stuck in the same v3 rut. look at like likes of the n95 compared to this... i know what i would rather have. i've only owned 1 motorola in my life and will not be buying another. there crap software and crap phones all together

                This phone is no where near being released here in NZ but moto have listed them as prizes on there rewards scheme for sales people. (I'm halfway there!)

                To be honest the phone isn't great but it looks good, and is small enough to take on nights out (not like my 6680!)

                  Hey guys my dad works for Motorola's Corporate office and he is working on releasing this phone. Right now Motorola is working with Cingular (Rizr only GSM, sorry Verizon/Sprint) but he doesn't think it will be released by the end of the year. Right now they are concentrating on their sales of KRAZRs and the new RAZRs, but thinks Cingular/Vodafone/Orange/O2 will pick it up by Q1 of 2007 at the earliest.

                    Then can u actually say tht this RIZR n the original RAZR is exactly look the same with same feature? This model looks totally diff from the original RAZR n yet u keep on saying they look the same.Generally, they really using the same basic RAZR design but the same thing for SAMSUNG too.They r using the basic design of D600 which is wider or longer or thinner but yet generally their design is basically the same.

                      azza, can u honestly blame motorola, this design keeps selling, people are still buying it, motorola are still making money. I want one and will buy this handset.

                        Er, has anybody actually seen this handset?? I've been playing with one and they're wicked :O) Black ones defo nicer though. Best feature is stereo quality on the vids and mp3 through their headphones, watched a spiderman clip and it was like being in the cinema....without popcorn tho :(

                          "k" if you look at the ultra sliders from samsung i tink you can see the difference between the two? the e900 has a seemless body with heat sensitive keys and a 2 mp camera,,, very good attemt at a fashonable phone with good features such as memory card and 2mp camera... the d900 is a very very slim phone with a 3mp camera which is considerably wider than the e900 with quite a differen't font cover ect. i think samsung are based around sliding models but you can only do so much with a sliding phone to make it look different... where as moto seem to love the v3 fascia

                              I can tell u the same for SAMSUNG as well. I cant spot any difference from all their ULTRA slider also.N all the flip also having the same design over n over again.SAMSUNG did have some interesting design like SERENE etc etc. But who said MOTO got no interesting design? What about the V80 (swirl) A1200 (MING) E1120 (although it is already cancelled)? Aint tht creativity for u? N it does look nice IMO.

                                  Here you go, some different designs by Samsung that has NOTHING to do with their sliders and the regular flip phones. P900, Z710, P310, X830, i310, i320, P300, D300, Serene, z710, z130..... and so on. Not saying they all look great, but thats creativity for you, in contrast to moto! Can anyone please go to the very first page of the moto new phones, you can see 2 rows of candy bar design that is absolutely the same, starting from E1060 to c390, not to mention L2, L6, L7 and E770, as AZZA was saying, let spot the difference! Other than that, it is the RAZR serie. Moto got no mojo no more!!

                                    I nvr say tht MOTO is very creative, in fact i hate it when they keep on upgrading the old model as well.But i just hate those SAMSUNG fanboys who even dare to say tht MOTO is not creative when SAMSUNG is actually doing the same thing or even worse.

                                      to "k" you say samsung have o creativity yet motorola do? lookiny on gsm on the oto section i can see 9 different attempts at re making the v3? creative or wot? i can also see 4 attemts at the slvr or L7... this is GREAT desing and imagination don't you think? i must say motorola have the best design team ever... so good in fact they can re design the same phone 9 times and still get people to buy it? people like you anyway... bet there all differen't phones? RAZR v3, RAZR v3i, RAZR v3x, RAZR maxx, RAZR V3xx, RIZR, KRZR K1, W375 nd E1070! i think we should play a game of spot the difference?

                                        N the bloody SAMSUNG cant get enough from copying MOTO.Now they even copy NOKIA's L'AMOUR with their new LE FLEUR series.Pathetic.
