I have stored full movies in 3gp format in my v3i. 1. is it possible to record sound and record phone calls. 2. how is video cif resolution. 3. is it possible to view movies in full screen and land scape format. is it possible to rewind and fast forward movies.
4. how is the document viewer.
5. does it have to do list.
6. how is browser. is it opera.is it possible to log into websites.

I want to upgrade the firmware for this set. I didn't find anything on this site www.motorolafans.com. Could some tell me how can i check they firmware of my set and where can i found the latest one.
Is it true that we can enable EDGE on this model.

I got this phone and its 2 weeks now, what a great phone. this is the best one i have ever user.( inc N6600, N6630, N70, N71, N3230) Symbian is one crap. this Linux OS is awesome. using temp memory for transferring bluetooth and not the crap option of using SMS inbox. saving the trasnferred files takes less than a second. Stereo sound is awesome. GPRS (not edge) is also faster than my nokia phones. HTML pages looks awesome. scrolling songs in Real player is little slow. i have no issues about that coz you create your own play list with that and scroll through for specific song using the next button. response to the music buttons is slow. but nothing is perfect in this world. my entire office is envying me from the day i brought this phone. great phone guys. if you are not buying this then really youre missing something priceless.
But all this for just $370 or INR 17500 is onething any body can take. forget.

Hi, I own the phone and i have all the answers to the questions asked and all the goodness and the default in making the phones.
The phone is very good (not excellent) it does not hang like most pda's do.
The problem motorola has created with this one is Real Player. As a fried as mentioned below yes it is slow. But it does not refresh the library if u install many songs.
The camera is fair it does not take as good pics as a Sony-Ericsson or a Nokia 2 megapixel would take.
The features are extremelt good but the area where moto failed was to make it a symbian phone.
One query i had was tht the ad claims it can store full movies, how?

love this love, one of the best phone i have, only thing is that i just drop mine hehe, thinking of getting the same one again, so if anyone like it get it, speaker is loud, i have over 300 mp3 in and it doesn't stop on me, picture is ok, if only it would look like the LG prada. also this phone can take up to 4gb nice huh

hi guys, can this phone be used for instant messages? and if so where do i get the im software do you just download frm a google or msn,cus' mine didn't come preloaded with anything?...........any help would be great guys, thanks............

Issues & Advice are as follows:
I found that your model is so slow while processing as an example when you try to scroll your only 40+ mp3's song in memory while you are in real player it gets stuck for a long period of time while scrolling, and believe me its very annoying to see that when you want to listen a song at the moment nothing works.
Its internal memory is too low only 8 MB, how will it affect us?
Camera when used at 2x+ zoom get disturbed & picture does not looks good, so 8x zoom feature provided is of no use at all.
Cannot update or install third party utility on it if compared to Nokia's or other smart phone.
Is there any way I can play popular Divx, Xvid, QuickTime files in it if I wanted too?
Bluetooth wireless Stereo headset does not comes in the package as it was being shown in the ad itself.
Phone supports only GPRS, not EDGE or 3G & no Infra-red.
Phone has whistle problem whenever you phone someone he listen some whistle for 10-20sec

you can use your fingers instead of the stylus. i've used my fingers for sms, menu, etc. most of the time. Go and buy it :)
