this is the best phone i have ever used.... i have a habit of changing phones within three months.... but now i don't think that i will change this phone.... it has got everything that any human being wants.... moto rokr e6 is the best....

its really rocks.i using these phone from few days its really all good feature that i want and a good phone have become.the style,music qlity,phone feature,camera ,baterry backhapp alls amaging .its falled the nseries phones like n72,n70,n91,n73,n76,n80 in all qlity.i say to all my friend to buy this phone,it is not so costly. in india the cost is

Great Mr kailas you are guiding all of us newbies bout this phone… I have the following requirements in relation to a suitable mobile phone (in decreasing order of preference but it’d be great if all features are present)
1) Ebook reading capability: until now I thought that only symbians support ebook reader softwares.. but even though I have come to know that I was wrong yet I’m not sure if I’d be able to read ebooks on the linux based rokr e6… please tell a suitable software that’ll allow me to do so…
2) Messaging: I do a lot of SMSing… is a touch screen phone suitable for me? Using the stylus is almost a must?
3) Camera: a decent 2 mp is what I require
4) Mp3 player: a good one
Things like personal information managers and document viewers are most welcome
It’d be so very kind of you if you could take out some time and guide me which phone should I buy? I am open to only nokia and Motorola
And please clear me on the point that do touch screens last? Even if I put a screen protector( I read bout it on your post though I don’t know what It is!)how many years will the screen last?

man ROKR E6 is a screamer......rocksssssss
touch screen is very sensitive and easy to use even without stylus....loudspeaker is not upto sony errik but with S9 wireless the clarity is awesome man...

just go for it...better than N73 ....

battery stays upto 2 days if u use full multimedia....

Hello Friends,
Am here again to tell u few more thing about Rockr E6....
Rockr's video & audio quality is superb. I'm concerned more about video. You can convert any of your video files(mpeg,mpg,wav...) to real media(.rm) by using Moto EzX Video Producer utiliy(CD). It converts to a compressed rm to a video of 320x240,12fps,256Kbps & audio of 44Kbps. Watching this converted rm video in Rockr is amazing & superb. It has a good battery backup when u use multimedia. Dragging the video or mp3 forward or backward is more GUI friendly using stylus..more friendly that using with window media player.I have tried with a video rm file for 1hr(110mb) size after convertion. Its amazing to come to notice that there is no lag in its both video & audio till 1hr & quality of both r thrilling! You can play mp3 songs for 14 hrs non-stop and video for 10 hrs in its 1000mah battery! No issue in battery backup, you can trust Rockr.(N series fails in these)
I did't feel any problem in scrolling the mp3 files using stylus, its smooth and selecting a music from the playlist.
One good feature is that u can turn off/on ur network from your Rockr itself. That means if u r roaming or does't want to pick any calls...u can use this unique feature, n can constanly watch movies and songs without any phone calls(u can save battery discharge too due to network). Rockr replaces iPod!!!!!!
Rockr's Photo Editor in its menu have a lot of options like adobe photoshop have(more than paint in windows). U can edit, add comments from the photo u took by its camera or external image, u can write in a blank new image using the stylus and can make ur own banners with colour setting, brush, pen....a lot more...
Another unique feature for good sleepers. U can set two alarms at a time and you can set snooze from 1-5-10-15min. So if miss a morning alarm & snooze at 5:00AM, there u can set another alarm at 6:00Am with snooze. This feature is not there in any of the Nokia mobiles.
Call Record can log upto 50 Answered Calls, 50 Missed Calls, 50 Dialled Calls with Start time, Date & Call Duration.
In calender you can set events and Tasks independely. Its a good business mobile.
Message composing,notebook editing,adding contact,photo editing are too easy with writing by using stylus.
Mail can sent via bluetooth or using its own bulit in modem. Opera browser is good in handling html files.
Phone book, Inbox and Outbox capacity are unlimited. U can switch the storing location to memory card/phone menory/simcard memory.
Memory card, Sim Card, Battery have seperate slots. Sim card can be taken without removing of the battery(sim lock also thr). Rockr have an additional internal battery(cell) to maintain the time & date, when its main battery is removed.
Speed dialing using single number dailing is possible by using its Turbo dialing feature, u can assign ur 10 independent family friend nos. Speed key 1 can be assigned to any other no than a fixed no in nokia series.
Voice recoding can be used during phone conversation storage & seperate voice storage.
Video and Audio recording is unlimited(depends on memory card capacity), quality is good if you watch the video in rockr itself.
Rockr have 3 USB modes: Modem, Mass Storage, Webcamera.
Webcamera have good quality like desktop creative webcam, good in video chating and video conference.
You can set Audible timer in Call setting. That means u can set to hear beep sound to u alone in every 50th sec of each minute while making outgoing and receiving incoming calls. This feature is very useful for those who are concerned of time to end the call, so u can avoid mis-using of extra time in a minute during the phone call. The 1 minute beeper can be changed to 5/10/15min beeper. Moreover u can set to display timer for viewing the call duration on screen.
Memory card can be ejected using an option eject(without swiching off rockr) and can be inserted with automatic detection like using pendrive in our laptop/desktop.
Phone book is so user friendly unlike Nokia/Sony Erricson. We have a good control while searching a person's contact & calling from the phone book using stylus as well as using finger touch. Srolling of the contact lists and mp3 song lists can be done ur finger touch itself except message composing unless if u used to or having small finger tip. Dialing a number can easily possible by using ur fingers. Stylus is only for style and fast message composing. No need of taking the stylus always if u can do everything with fingers. Stylus is kept in line with phone chassis, so that it is not projected, it acts as an additional lock to ur back cover. Stylus is small and is extendable like the radio antenna to get grip in our hand. You can set left and right hand setting in ur rockr, a very good mobile for left handers too.
There are more feature to tell about my Rockr E6, till then bye.

This phone is kinna pro u know, as my sister is using it! The sound quality is loud and clear, stylish, nice screen resolution, not easy to get smudged! However, the screen is sort of small, no flash and auto focus, low video resolution and kinna too cheap as the price is not what I expected, to be 2.5K malaysia ringgit above! I am a SE fan and using K810 and W610! My future phone will be W960, so gonna get it on the first day it is launched!!

Price will be less in Thailand as compared to the price in India.
If you can wait for few months(2-3 months), you can get Apple iphone -4 Gb for 350$ USD am not sure, but price in India will be 20,000-22,000 INR. Apple have good battery backup, performance, bigger touch screen 3.5inch , WiFi connectivity, size is little bit bigger 115mm, whereas for Rockr is 111mm, thickness is 11.6mm for iphone for Rockr is 14mm, weight is more 135gm for iphone as compared with rockr(121gm).
Price of Rockr may vary slightly after the launch of Apple iphone in India. May be you can expect the MotoRockr E6 in price reduction of 2000 INR (50 $ USD) after 3 months. In gray market you may get Rockr E6 for 9000 INR without guarantee. Better to buy featured mobile from Authorized Showrooms for future guarantee, good battery, satisfaction etc.
If you are going for Sony Erricson p990i instead take Sony Erricson P1(more compact than p990i), camera is 3.15mp, good battery backup, WiFi, price is 22,800 INR(560 $ USD) 9,000 INR more than Rockr E6 Ordinary

Hi Flockz,
Rockr touch screen is so sensitive. Cold lamination or screen protectors for the screen can be used for better touch screen life. Mine is still waiting for the screen protector to be fixed on it. But temporarly you can use the screen wraper that was fixed on the screen very first. The white lettering(indicating the way to put the battery in the mobile) on its top by Using slightly volatile or mild detergent for remove the white marking in the temporary plastic wrapper for the screen, so that the display will be visible properly. Care should be taken to the screen while removing the white marking or other wise do the same after taking out from the mobile. Srolling the contacts/mp3 songs can be done easily by using stylus. If u find difficulty in scrolling use the keypad up/down, left-right keys. Up/Down for one by one scrolling. Left-Right for page by page scrolling. It is much user friendly like Nokia Mobiles. Anyway its good be practice touch screen in Rockr before going for Apple iPhone next year 2008! Just now I have downloaded the themes for iPhone and ZmPlayer for my Rockr.

Hello Friends
Its a good mobile phone. I have purchased for 13,450.00 INR(Ordinary) from MobileNxt, Mysore on 09th Sep 2007. Its manufacturing date is May 07. Before buying the mobile you should see manufacturing date and box seal is not opened. That will ensure your mobile for good battery backup and bug free.
Ordinary pack contains MotoRockr, Wired Motorola Stereo head phone, 1GB microSD card with SD tray, 1000mah battery in separate cover, Motorola Charger, USB Cable & 2CD.
There was 30 songs already stored in my memory card. I faced some problem in navigating the songs by scrolling, it got stucked up temporary during scrolling. Actually that was not a problem, I deleted all the 30 songs and freshly loaded 250 mp3 songs. The scrolling works fine with 250 mp3 songs.
Battery backup is 2-3 days with out less usage. Don't charge the battery always, it will kill ur battery life. Avoid USB interface frequently as it goes to charging when u plug. Better charge it using ordinary charger when the battery meter indicates 20%. Charge it fully until the charging getting disconnected automatically(~2hrs).
The internal features are same of MotoMingA1200. Don't buy MotoMing-low battery backup, old model(new one is not available in market, battery will discharge in the pack unless it is been used in short period of months), Output mp3 sound & ring sound are very less, Price: 11,450.00 INR, manufacturing Sept 2006.
MotoRock really rocks- good business card reader, sound output is more than sony erricson W810i, touch screen response is good, voice clarity is good, 2mp camera is well in outdoor, unlimited voice recording(choose storage location to sd memory), 5Hrs video storage in 3gp with 15fps 320:480 screen resolution(good to see the video in mobile itself). Internal memory is only 8MB, always choose jar installation to memory card. Try to avoid usage of phone memory. My 1GB card is full loaded now, processing response is amazing as compared to Nokia N series. It has fabulous features as compared with same price range of sony errison & Nokia. Data transfer is very fast as compared with Nokia N95. I have used N95 for 3 months, but this Rockr having more features than N95 neglecting 5mp camera & video.
Rockr reads .doc, .ppt, .xls, .pdf- but first page can be viewed by its viewer. I need to get other jar application of good reading and editing.
FM radio speaker output is very good as compared to N95. Mp3 sound from speaker of Rockr is 80% of N95. But in headphones Rockr rocks than N95.
Overall Rockr is worth as compared with the price and competers.
Rockr premium pack is costing 2750.00INR extra. It contain 2GB card & Motorola S9 Stereo Headphone. Stereo headphone have lot of bad remarks like non water sweat resistant. audio lags with video in phone, since the mobile have to handle both bluetooth and real player.
Hand writing precognitions and composing messages in hand writing is very good, fast and stylish.
Asphalt2 Car gaming is very good. Its gaming processing is amazing. I played the game with hearing mp3 in its real player. Two process real player and game handled very well without any lag or sound quality reduction. This shows that its good enough to handle multi process operation. Same processing in N95 is very shame.
Calender & meeting can be set notified in ur rockr in a good way. It is much user friendly. I will post more feedback later. MotoRockr is worth buying for me.
