Ok ppl i bought this phone at sangeetha for rs 12500 it comes only in dark navy(in india) with 2 gb internal memory i bought a 4 gb card for 1 grand. The phone is awesome the interface is good screen is good(not very small) key pad exellent and earphones are not very good but you can always buy a different one . Camera is also average but music quality is top notch and exellent equalisers camera not very good but on phone the photos looks good and it reads out msg s :) and ya the album art comes as a very small icon not very big all in all worth buyin for its music and style and yeah i put this post from my e8 usin opera mini :)

If I remember correctly,e8's 500mhz is the fastest cellphone processor in the world today. Nokia Xpressmusic uses a separate audiochip for its music capabilities but I dont think it is on par with the moto system. Only the up and coming motorola z10 has a faster one (800mhz)
Depending on where you buy, there may be memory cards free but I dont think so, since there is already 2gigabytes onboard phone memory.
Another thing, MOTOPHONES ARE IMMUNE TO MOST VIRUSES. You wont need anti-virus with these things, as when the files in question are corrupted and you try to play them, motorola interface prompts you and asks your confirmation in deleting said file. I havent actually encountered viruses on the e8, but all recently released motophones have it so I dont think this would be different as it uses the same Linux OS.
Also, at a phone expo in Britain, they tried an 8gb memory card on it, and it worked!! So you can get up 10 GIGABYTES OF MEMORY!!!!! Although there may be problems when you get higher since only a 4gig card is recommended.
My experience with an older motophone where I placed a card that isnt up to its recommended capacity is that the playlist refused to read the additional songs. The phone refutedly supports only 512mb, but i reached 700mb of my 1 gig card before I encountered any problem. However, all 700mb were only songs and I was still able to use the 300mb for pictures. I managed to fix the problem though and it works fine now.
If we follow that context for all motophone systems means that if you put 8gb cards in, you can use 5gigs before encountering any problem, not to mention the 2gig onboard, you get 7gb worth of song memory + 3 gigs for other stuff.

it is good but no 3G why.... & only 2MP why........i think motorola people dont know how to do marketing they should make according to the market requirement what actually people need intodays days people need a phone with atleast maximum faeture like very good camera, FM, WIFI, why they dont have why..why..why........

my only concern is why motorola phone are without WIFI,& almost all the fliptype phone like V8,V9 does not have FM radio why... & only why 2mp camera rest of the brands are having more than that in NOKIA,SONYERICSON,LG,SAMSUNG...... 3mp,5mp

Motorola is regularly going downwards inspite of launching u9 & e8.Man it sucks.The pricing is high & the features are none as compared to the price.The day does not seems to be far away when Motorola will Hive off its mobile handset business.
Instead i think Samsung is the next brand to watch out for.....

Im t... morecall quality is ok but i think it would still depend on your network provider for you to have a clearer signal. i havent encountered any issues with the call quality so far. when it comes to texting, i had issues with the keypad at first as im still not used to it... it took me a week or so to finally text with ease and im now actually loving the keypad although i can still text faster with my previous phone w/c is SE.

I want to know about "touch" key pad,is it working well or does it show any "not respondings" after some time of use .
I'm 97% positive about buying this phone but my friend told me this keypad doesn't going to hold that much long & it makes me reconsider my decision so i'm really glad if one of you or many help me with this

This phone is great in terms of call quality. the only thing i don't like is for ring style, it has "vibrate then ring." i would like it to be "vibrate AND ring!"

aditya, 18 Jun 2008dude i wanna buy dis fone so can u help me i wana know da... morethe screen is not as small as everyone thinks it is. got this phone just last month and i love it... if you are entirely concerned about the screen you wont have a problem with this phone as well as its features. my only prob is its battery life as i almost need to charge it every other day. but its ok and worth the hassle.

You guys...the screen is only .4" bigger on the E6. A 2" screen is perfectly fine for this phone.
It just looks a lot smaller as it is more vertical than horizontal.
I like it...it kinda looks like a mini-wide screen
