hey am waiting for this fone since long
can any 1 tell how is the sound quality n hws the omega wheel is it responsive or not? and how bout the key pad
and does it have an equalizer or not
and also does it run on the same os as the razr2 or not
and did u guys enjoy the fone nd wood u rec it

Yay, or perhaps Oh, no. I don't have the money. Rp 3jt is a bit overpriced. Rp 2.5jt would be perfect.

E8 will be available in Jakarta next week. Price aproximately 3 juta plus. I got this information from Motorola Indonesia today.

www.smart-mobile-gadgets.com has it on their front page in stock for the best price i have seen. placed an order last night, coming in a couple days. I will post more info as i get it.

FYI, the phone was relased in Hong Kong last Friday. (actually China got it a few weeks before) The phone is "listed" for around US$320, though one can easily get one through an operator (with no contract) for about US$255.
I was able to look at a dummy unit. The screen seems much larger than what it says on paper spec, and the keypad is much larger and easier to operate than it "looks".
Even my wife is sort of interested in this phone, and I'll have her Z3 be retired to her sister.

I'm not much of a techie when it comes to mobile phones. Just an average user and I must admit that this is a pretty descent phone. I've been using an engineering model for testing and it certainly has gathered quite a bit of attention by anyone that sees the phone. I just find it to be a little laggy at times and though I really couldn't care less about a camera on a phone this one is nothing to write home about at all.
As long as the person has descent headphones the volume and quality of sound is quite impressive though.

usually i don't like using motorola as the functions are very complex ,, but as i m a music addict,, so just waiting for it to come in shops so that i can hear it and then make a choice,,

This phone is using Linux soft ware. Texing will not the sameas Nokia, since Nokia is using Symbrian software. I am now using Rokr E6, It is easier to text than Nokia
