Try starting MPT with and without connecting the phone once. I believe you can get more help on motorola support site. Check their forums and knowledgebase for similar issues. Good Luck!

Stuart, 20 Mar 2009Hello friend, that's a very fair and reasonable recommendat... moreHey stuart, nice to see you around after a long time :)
Thanks a lot for your encouragement. I must say that I've learnt this positive attitude only from you guys. I've been reading this board for so long and you guys have already helped people in most constructive manner.
There is just so much involved in buying a cell, that there just can not be a single BEST CELL. I try to give people info on their terms so that they can select the MOST SUITABLE set for themselves.
I'm so thankful to moto for giving me the PERFECT set for maself, lets hope they can carry their ROKR line with some great sets like E8. And BTW, that concept set is awesome :)

coreSOLO, 19 Mar 2009Sorry didnt get much time this week. Ok so pulling from you... moreare you serious, the phones you mention are the cheap end of Sony and Nokia, if you want a good all round phone thats been out a while now then the nokia N81 has the internal memory (not the inbuilt memory card that slows the phone down when it fills up)and the processors and the graphics chip and its series 60 and its of sturdy build and has a very good camera with a Zennon flash that the newer models are without or the latest model of Samsung Innov8 i8510 which has all the quality of the Nokia N81 andis series 60 but adds more to it with the camera and internal memory amongst other stuff, both are also good for sat nav and gaming.

WOW, WOW... guys, take a look at this website, this new Motorola music phone KRE8 is really making my E8 and other music phones look like they belong to the Jurassic park era. Just copy & paste the 2 lines onto the web address bar, don't click on it directly.

coreSOLO, 19 Mar 2009Sorry didnt get much time this week. Ok so pulling from you... moreHello friend, that's a very fair and reasonable recommendation. I truly respect individual preferences on phone models and even I'm a Moto fan and a user of E8, your post about the other guys' preference on SE & Nokia was really good, since he's narrowed down on either one of that, it's better to help him by giving him the info and I really admire your personal constructive comments on the other brands, the best thing is you didn't condemn them. Now that's what I called helping people unlike some others that'll condemn the brands that they don't support which have happened before.
Thanks for taking care of this site man, I'm still reading and only post my comments once in a while.

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2009u know sony phones are always ready
Sorry didnt get much time this week. Ok so pulling from your first post, you need good audio, good battery life, easy msging, image editing, speech recogs.
> A lil about manufactures and OSs:
While MOTOROLA has provided some of the most creative models, it has been behind rest of industry in proviting bleeding edge features. SONY-E has one of the smartest and fastest OS in market but you are unable to install native apps. Nokia OS (S60) is the big daddy of customization but all their cells are not best in build quality.
> OK i am picking sets from your list only
So if you can live with stock hardware and software features, the best one is **K810i** because of its awesome features and great build quality. Just check the keypad once. I believe the spaced keys should be easier in msging, but go for K800 if you dont like those small spaced keys. They are same otherwise.
On the other hand, if you want to be adventourous and want to fine tune every aspect of your cell, go for **5320XM** because of almighty S60 platform. You can get an app for almost everything you can expect from your set. If you can compromise a little on camera for awesome build quality and awesome keypad, go for E51, except camera and keypad, they are almost similar.
Hope it helps :)
