I was thinking about buying a new phone especially for music purpouses (I have other phones for other business). So what do you think I should get ?

E8 WITH LATEST FIRMWARE IS NOT SLOW AT ALL. But you wanna talk about N81 so...
Oh I just remember, a single naughty application is enough to crawl the whole platform to freeze. And did I say VIRUSES? Out there to steal my data and compromise my privacy. Get one and your N81 is useless until you remove it or format N81 (formatting is not a bad thing guys). Not a problem, anti-viruses are there. But just install one of them and see your N81 crawling down again lol.
Stuffed with some useless features that either ppl not gonna use or are already present in a lappy, but then I believe you might wanna replace (or have already replaced) your lappy with N81, so lets compare your N81 with a lappy. Ma XPS screams for your N81 anytime hahaha.
N81 vs XPS, fair enough guys???

It's still unfair at the start to have a smartphone match against a non-smartphone. Even if the N81 is Music and Gaming oriented, it has too many features that the E8 doesn't have to call this a fair fight. The best competitor out there in Nokia is the XpressMusic 5310.

Of course there are new versions available and I have one of them. I can now text or play 3d Java games while playing music (WMA lossless file format) without lags at all. The new versions have simplified codings unlike the old ones.
You and your so-called "powerful" Symbian will be someday replaced with something better. Believe me.

Come on, show me what you've go... moreI love how you keep pulling that the masses card,lol, fair enough then, your E8 lags whilest playing Music and Texting, thats what you said, well last i checked these two features are used heavily nowhere days by the masses, and many expect their +$200 phone to ATLEAST be able to run Music Player, Messaging and IM at once with no lag, yet the MUSIC/TEEN orientated E8 cant even handle running Music and Messaging well? This is the 21st century where even the masses now HAVE TO learn about things like RAM, CPU etc. . .its the age of Multitasking, even your car is more than just a mean of transport, so dont you dare pull that card we both know that Music and Texting are large amongst phone users.
The reason i ran those apps is because in the one browser i was viewing Gsmarena, in the other i was downloading a movie and i was also fiddling with the phones file system in X-Plore.
The N81 is a Music and Gaming phone so it can be compared to a E8, it was compared to a SE W910 even. I find it weird that a phone released in 2008 thats focused on Music cant even handle running little tasks such as Messaging at the same time.

The E8 is no lagfest. For those who say so, are probably under T-Mobile, go read the reciews. T-Mobile always messes up the OS. In other parts of the world (not America), the E8 is working just fine.
PS. E8 vs N81 is bull* Compare E8 to 5320. It's sexier, has a better sound output, has an edgier design, better materials construction (5320 is aaaaaall ugly plastic), and did I say it's cheaper? Ballgame E8

As I've said countless times before, only the technologically literate can fully utilize their phone functions (these people only constitute a fraction of the world's population). How about the masses? While they're not that stupid to use a phone, they don't need those other features you are boasting a bloody long time ago. Most people in the world are not technofreaks like you.
Why pick on the E8 again? The E8 is not a direct competitor to the N81. A smartphone versus a music phone? It's utterly insane. Try the Attilla if you want, which uses Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

A phone for communication now if it does that whilest getting a Text its worrying. Im currently listening to Music, have Opera8.65 running, OperaMini running, Contacts, Messaging and X-Plore all running and my N81 is still fast, hasnt even frozen, plus i have Transitions and Menu Effects turned On.
Poor e8 users need to deal with a slow device with poorly implemented software just because they love MOTO, thats exactly why MOTO will never make another great phone, they figured that they have dumb fans who will buy any of their phones no matter how bad it is and they will live with it. You might as well have RIP ME OFF written on your forheads.

Shank, 28 Nov 2008my motorokr e8 is very slow... dunno how to put it but it t... moreI have to admit that the Linux OS in my E8 is a lagfest, however that's because of the advanced processing power needed to use the ModeShift keypad. Also, older firmware versions have the slow original theme (Onyx) because of its complex coding. Newer firmwares have simplified themes which would allow snappier menu response.

my motorokr e8 is very slow... dunno how to put it but it takes too much time to react.. when i receive a msg though if i hit the button immediatly it just take hell a lotsa time to view.. while listening music the case is even more worse... can anyone help me? is this solvable? if yes... please let me know...

can any1 shed sum light on this, its a software update for E8. I M going out to buy it tomorrow, should i, as my only choices are the L9, E8 and RIZR Z8. i m in love with motorola due to basically the toughness of their sets. my 1.5 year old son, has smashed f3 all his life now and it is still working and i want him to continue the habit. any sugessions plz.

Motorola has long time ago make touchscreen phone than Nokia. Motorola has more experience than Nokia.
