PTT is "Push to Talk" - that service is not offered by many providers - it's in the manual how it works.
Price is about $230 US - look around.

its a good fone considering that we get 2 mega pixel cam, mp3, gprs n fm radio all in 1 at reasonable price. heres how i rate its features

Sound from FM radio is a bit lower than for music but very audible. Music volume is very good - louder than the FM radio (even a bit louder than L7) but I'm certain there will be a way to increase volume in the future. Internet is not something I use on a cell phone, but since this phone is class 10 Edge/GPRS there's no problem to view WAP sites - forget about browsing sites like FIFA.com or something.. too intense.

For those complaining about no flash on the camera - here's some advice: go buy yourself a camera - the L9 is designed to be primarily a phone device and not a phone attached to a camera... The L9 has the same form factor as the L7, capable of reading up to 4GB transflash memory, excellent reception, very good battery life, better speaker for music than its predecessors and much better sound for calls - there is no earpiece buzzing or interference at all! Fully compatible with various bluetooth ear devices. The keypad has a very good tactile feel and excellent illumination. Although the software is Moto UI, it doesn't have the problems of Symbian-driven phones (like the Z8 which degrade over time causing software hangups and crashes) and will be very customizable in the future. Airplane mode works like a charm and is a big benefit that allows a user to turn off all GSM-related circuitry in sensitive environments. The FM radio is not bad, but the reception is rather sickly (keep in mind, this isn't a walkman - it's a cell phone). Signal reception is beyond reproach - perhaps the best of all Motorolas. Battery life is also excellent, much better than the L7 - with occasional radio and mp3 playing, 1/2-1hr phone conversations - the batter will last over 4 days stand-by before requiring recharge. Screen (1.9in, 262K color) is well-lit, but is washed out in direct bright sunlight (this is because the screen is only transmissive and not transflective - perhaps one major fault of Motorola design and engineering - although transflective screens do use up more power). Overall score of phone 8.5/10 (positives: reception, call, build and sound quality, battery life, form factor and easy to type SMS with one hand... Negatives: slightly below avg FM reception - most noticeable outside major urban areas - inside city this is negligible, screen barely readable in bright direct sun (because Moto chooses to make ONLY transmissive screens - all Motos suffer from bright sunlight screen washout). Overall an excellent (proven) phone perfect for use as business phone, excursion phone, or if you want a small, solid and very capable phone in terms of reception and call quality. Do not buy if you're looking for the "cool" factor - get yourself an overpriced, crash/freeze prone Symbian-drive phone for that.

Very good phone overall, only disadvantage is no flash. VFM type of phone.

while u r having a call, just press the round 9joy stick kinnda thing's) left side, it will get silent.
i learnt it suddenly while using my L6....i think, very few ppl know about this option...
