Maybe the feel isn't as good as v3i but who cares? It's what is in the inside of the fone that counts.

If this phone had the same construction quality and feel of the V3i, then it would have been the ultimate phone. I agree that the software and also features are higher, the only thing that is not good about this phone is the cheap Plastic housing. Change this to Metal case same as the RAZR and we have the Rolls Royce of all Mobiles here.

I agree with u gangsta moto there so much hater'z out there. I personally think this is the best 3g mobile. I don't think the nokia n70 stood a chance against the V3x. So stop the hating!!!

Why do people moan so much?... the regular v3 had only 5MB memory yet everyone loved it... now u got the v3x with 60mb built into the phone...plus you can add an SD card with up to 512mb.... giving you 572Mb storage space as opposed to 5Mb and yet people still gotta moan... this is really getting delirious and hilarious now.

Why DONT people just list out what they want in a phone... look for a phone that satisfies those requirements... then get buy it. Instead you go out and buy a phone... no idea what it can or cant do... then complain that it cant do this and cant do that like a spoiled brat.

Anyhow... just a word of comfort to those WHO appreciate the v3x for what it is... was readinG a phone mag this weekend (UK, WHSmith)... called Total Mobile or something like that and... phone test of current top 3G phones...V3x, Benq-Siemens EF81, Samsung SGH2500 and LGu880.

I know haters'z wont like this but yes guys...v3x won hands down... and guess what was even more of a surprise... the Video/picture and audio performance is what blew them away... and thats like what haters seem to moan about the most..said it time and again that the v3x may not have the best multimedia but they were very good and that plus the 3GSM awards just confirmed it...again!!! Then... was wondering why the N70 did not even make it and checked another mag... WhatMobile... n70 had a score of 89% while the v3x had +1 at 90%. Aint much of a difference but the fact is....v3x still won.

I also noticed that the v3x the Total mobile had pictured was a blue one like we get on Orange...note also that Orange's v3x came out last due to vigorous testing. I think it's safe to say now that for those of us who have the v3x on Orange UK... we definitely have the best 3G phone out there today... dont let the haters make u think any different... your phone is the best... ur camera and video are very good and work as they should.

I'm just so happy... v3x is the BOMB!!!. Cant wait for the replacement to come out... i'm sure it's gonna be slimmer, more feature packed and definitely better than well... erm... the best 3g phone out there which incidentally.. is the V3x... wow...plus i'm cruising my Mazda RX8 which again... is the WhatCar Magazine best coupe for 2006... NOW THATS GANGSTA!

Yet Motorola still lack of memory.Da memory is just 4 512mb.All the 3G phones r better than that nowadays.Da Sony& Nokia phones r better. But i still prefer the V3i.Da design is way better.(for me).How much is da price?(in Ringgit Malaysia)

This is the worst phone I have ever had, it did not work for day 1 and I have it replaced 3 times, so it was not just one that did not work. the battery is crap, it does not work.
Also Motorola is the worst company to deal with, I sent my phone back to them for replacement, and rang them every day to find out what the status was, and every day it was going to the wrong place, had the wrong status attached, after a month, they told me they ran out of phones and could offer me an L6 (which doesn't work with 3 anyway) but apparently is just as bad.

                  NEVER NEVER GET A MOTAROLA.

I have finally got hold of the motorola v3x.I would say the phone lives up to what i expected apart from the poor battery life.I have one problem and would be grateful if anyone can help. If i use ringer I.D on family or work catagories etc the ring tone assigned to that group will come up for a message as well. How can i keep the ringtones I.D for the various catagories and have a short tone for texts when received by the same person?

Paul,i think i speak on behalf of everyone when i say: "before you complain about other peoples spelling, check your own." (i.e: your mistakes: 3 year old, bettery, guarentee corrections: 3-year-old, battery, guarantee)

"Folks, let's get one thing straight. If you're going to say someone is an idiot for posting what they post, then make sure you sound like a somewhat intelligent individual. Misspelling every other word and using grammar of a 3 year old really doesn't make your rant worthwhile. It's just wasted space in the comments and isn't even worth a laugh!

I am posting again here on this phone. I bought mine originally unlocked off of the Bay. It was a Vodafone branded handset but I use it on T-Mobile in Germany. Originally, I had many of the software problems already mentioned by folks on here. Further, I agree the phone has certain shortcomings having to do with its design but this is all a matter of opinion and personal taste (and I don't give a crap about your personal taste). Don't complain about features of a clamshell when you went out and bought a clamshell, etc. These are simply things you pay for up front and shouldn't complain about in hindsight. But, when it comes to software I've had a change of mind. The external screen on my phone was faulty and I returned the handset as part of my guarentee. Vodafone simply replaced my phone instead of repairing it. I must have received a newer model with the newest version of the software. All the bugs are gone. Bluetooth works as expected. Phone isn't freezing up upon activation of any of the phones features. Bettery life seems to have improved a bit (but just by maybe 10%). It is a UMTS phone and activating UMTS will obviously drain your battery quicker.

So, before you complain any further about software issues on the phone, consider first getting a software update. If you still think the phone is crap thereafter, sell it on the Bay and get another phone. It's not really that difficult."

I have just bought one and realised the 30 second video recording limit is there anyway of unlimiting the video recoding to 30 seconds. Is it as hard to use as what the reviews have said?

duno how good this phone yet, as many of us here are complaining the phone software problem. but just to let most of you here know that V3x is a great piece of handphone, it have the nvidia 4200 inside, but yet its only work when the camera is active... that y it other benchmark its the worst if compare with other hi end one, motorola just dun have enough time to finish the software, that really weird y they sell it yet it is not complete? but when all the software is complete it'll be a superb phone!!!

Follow up:Some Motorola Razr phones were back in Cingular and T - Mobile stores this week, after the two wireless companies suspended sales last week because of a manufacturing defect.

Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile USA pulled the Razr from store shelves last week after Motorola informed them of the glitch, which cut off calls.

Motorola said the glitch affected only cell phones that were shipped after Feb. 1, but it did not give a number for how many phones were pulled from shelves and might be defective. The company said it was working to fix the defective phones, which had a bad component that cut off calls when the flip phones opened.

There you have it Motorola Gangsta, or whatever.

Motorola has been known for putting out cheap laboured products.

Disappointed that I have to return this phone as it won;t work as a modem with my Apple powerbook. Otherwise phone was great but need bluetooth connection to laptop which it doesn't have. OK for PC's as usual.
