i think you got a dud. take it back and tell them to give you one that's supposed to work.
the phone is great. it has great functions, none of the useless crap. the video recording is a phenomenal 1 hour. im very pleased with it.
i'd give it a 9 out of 10.
(the motorola tools is a little crap though, can't transfer applications and games like you can with media)

oh and pepi perosn with the loud noise thing. that only seems to happen if ur phoning a fone which is nearby.....mine did that when i tested the video calling. as i went into another room, the noise stopped. if i were u, id stop calling urself. im jkin

hi, here to answer some of ur questions!
the v3x or N70? well the n70 is exceedingly slow, as this phone is very quik. it picks up signal everywhere and is very reliable. its never gone wrong for me.
its definitely worth getting if u just want a solid phone that works. the camera is fabulous, the sound quality is very good, its easy to use, and looks nice too!
worth getting, and yes FAR more exciting than nokias ;)

so undecided about this one. am very impatient, and have decided to get a new phone. poured over many user reviews - seems to be a mixed bag. double checked on motorola site - yes, there is a software upgrade for my carrier. double checked to see if/where i can upgrade to a better battery. all seems good. and then - thrown into a quandry by the reading about the pending release of the V3maxx .... now what to do! wait? what does "coming soon" mean i wonder. september? october? will it even be offered by my carrier. (i'd say so). hmmmmm .... decisions decisions..

No, sorry you will have to buy the Ipod separately, the phone does not have one built in. ;)

hi everybody! I bought this phone several weeks ago and I'm pretty much satisfied with it but I have the following problem. During a call there is an unexplainable lound noise which is heard by the other side only. I don't hear any noise /just some interruption of the sound actually/ but this happens quite often. Does it has to do something with the signal? Or probably with the settings? Please help.

Have been using this phone for close to 5 months now. Great phone overall.
But there's one disturbing problem though, the reception is always full bar, but whenever i'm connected on a call, i can hear my friend on the other side clearly, however, he/she is always struggling to hear me on my side? Anyone experiencing the same problem? Pls. I need help. I live in Singapore. Anyway, the black rubbery material on my keypad is wearing off and i'm beginning to see the metallic part. This is one put-off though.

hey can sumbody PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!! ok i bought a motorla v3x about 4 months ago and my previous fone was a motorola razor... both of these ffones now currently do not charge!! i know the charger works as i tested it on my friends fone so can someone tell me wat to do pelase!! i have also tried takin the battery out and it was no help! if sum1 could help i would be very grateful xx

For your information, these motorola phones are using the miniusb port for earphones also. The miniusbport is multifunctional and is changing it's functionality according with what you're puging in :) ... I hope I've answered.... MY FRIEND !

Hey ,what's wrong with this phone.I just bought it some days ago.The problem is if u receive any missed call of a message the phone will repeatedly make a beap if u don't see this missed call or a message.This is a crap.Is this with all the motorola phones or just with this particular model

i tink dis is a great phone. i had a a few weeks now an its been workin really well. but jus today it start givin a few probs. the phone jus keeps cuttin off an restartin. wats the deal wit dat? is there anyhow to solve this? or is dis common?
