Well Eric then lets go modding... I would suggest you get a V3x personalization guide somewhere, like ebently, 7900novadrive or motomodders. You will also have to acquire some software like RSD 2.8, Flashbackup, P2k commander, p2k tools and (not really neccasary but helpfull) Smartmoto I'm not going thru the whole procedure here, but first you BACKUP!!
(flashbackup & P2k commander) then you can flash. You can use a reflash file if it is based on the same firmware but I suggest flashing a whole new MP (monsterpack) and then use a known reflash file, 7900novadrive
will be able to help you here. You WILL lose everything stored in your phone, but you can items that you want with the backups you made.(P2k commander)All seem editing must be done after flashing or you will have to do it again.
Also, be prepaired if something goes wrong get the V3x service manual and testpoint location (VERY IMP) (@motomodders).
Please dont ask for links to RSD or Smartmoto
they are warez.

Can anyone tell me how I can set the delivery reports to stay permanantly on "YES" mode rather than having to do this with every sms that I send? It works via the UI and PC but not by itself. Perhaps I have missed something.

uhmm... i think anonymous's problem doesnt have to do with it being bought from a "tiangge" what i think is it is still locked from "3"(w/c might be a network provider in hongkong) and with that globe or smart will naturally be having difficulties providing the settings. uhm... btw can you insert a local sim to the v3x?

I LOVE THE MOTOROLA V3x simply because this is the oonly phone i know (so far..) who have a pink as in PINK body.. i dont need to buy a new casing and change it! so thats really cool they have black and silver as well so its like for diff taste.

your phone isn't compatible with any network setting in the Philippines 'coz your phone is a "grey unit"... ask your network operator about what is "grey unit", so stop complaining and get yourself a new V3x from a mall not in a tiangge or in greenhills.

-do i have to change my flex version first ,and after that my S/W version?
-in what versions do i have to change them?

any globe user here having problems with sending/receiving mms? sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't.. globe tried to fix the settings but it still wouldn't work. i have the pink v3x with the '3' logo and i just learned that this came from '3' telecom in hong kong. it's unlocked but i noticed some modifications in the phone made by '3'. just want to konw if this problem is because of the v3x itself or if '3' has something to do with it because i just bought it in the celphone tiangge in town center.
btw,same thing with the internet..sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't..but wap over gprs works fine.

i have examined this unit from several phone stores, iwant to decide wisely which unit should i buy... one thing i would like to clarify...why is it that everytime i take the zoom in taking pictures, the image looks blurred? need help... please..

To fix some of the problems you are having:
Bad Q vid: Seem edit 004E_0001: offset 4AB (quality "best" in video options), and change to 04AA = 04, 04AB = 00, this improves the framerate.
Cheap plastic? I am using a black one for quite some time now and no scratches yet (btw no pouch).
The audio quality and loudness just replace the audio cfg file with a modded version. (motomodders, rasputin007, novadrive etc)
And for the vodafone SW just flash it with a unbranded MP like R252211LD_U_85.98.D0R_LP0039_DRM0001_VSTU_206_0C_JPIN_GENERIC_03_USRAZRV3XT677EDR25221008_1FF
because of bootloader it's easy and relatively safe, then there is also Testpoint...
So if you don't know your phone please don't call it crap:)

This phone is absolute rubish.. when taking video it seems as if its missing some frames which makes a crap video.. its been made from really cheap plastic which can get scratched very easy the speaker doesnt sound too good either. things just get even worse if you get this phone on vodafone because the user interface they add on is lame & boaring & constantly bugs you with vodafone live adverts everytime you dissconect it from a pc via usb...

To turn key volume down, go to settings, ring styles, then it will show you which ring style you are on, use down arrow to select detail, and one of the options you will find there is key volume. so you can set it differently for each different ring style.
