I bought a Motorola V525 in Germany from Vodaphone. They said that it is unlocked and it would work just about anywhere in the world. I am in the USA now and everything works except you can not send pictures to another phone or an email address because the US does not support GPRS. Unfortunetly I was told that after I bought it, so it was a waste of money. If anyone out there knows a way to help me so I can use the camera after all please send me an email. Thanks

As far as I am aware the V525 was produced for vodafone to run their live service better than the V500.
As for the phone I am quite impressed with the handset so far. The games eat the batteries very quickly though.
Camera isn't the best quality available on a phone but its a phone not a camera so no point trying to pretend it is. Does what it should and does them well.

i don think it's the battery's fault
3 days is good enuf for a 65k screen+camera. u wil neva get as long battery life as nokias offer, cuz they simply suck at makin screens, which r only 4k n blurred. i bet u play around with ur fone other than makin/answerin calls. if u want ur battery to last a week, jst don touch it at all!

I bought this phone a week and a half ago. It is a agreat phone actually except the baterry. It, the baterry, goes down for no more than 3 days. And I make up to 3 2-minute calls per day. It's terrible and I think I'll bring it back in the shop in order the baterry to be changed. Do you think this is just a "bad" baterry? Anything else is so cool.

The phone is okay but up to now there is no manual on data structure. With my bluetooth link I can only see a public folder with two empty sub folders. Pictures taken by the phone are somewhere else and I cannot download neither my Addresses from the SIM-Card nor from the phone's address book. Who can help in getting a complete Vodafone Life!-Manual explaining in details what has to be done to get access to my data on this phone.
The other functions and menues are much better and more logical than on previous motorola phones and starting with the MicroTAC to the Timeport P7389, the T725 etc. I had many already. Also the sound quality is much better and for the first time, the display is really visible.

I bought this phone and i could not complain one little bit. But then 3 days later the picture of the screen started going all over the place shaking violently. Then the camera stopped working and a day after that the screen went blank. I got a new exchange and so far so good. Maybe i was unlucky because the salesman said he had sold heaps and my was the first to come back. I have only had this new phone for a day so will keep u posted on whether i have anymore probs

"Very bad phone.out of the market now because af its failures" sara
whatever sara do you even own this phone?no your prob tied up with an 80's brick or a loaf of bread with buttons on it. Your opinion means nothin as a lady you lack the intelligence to make a comment on such a technological marvel. It has had 0 failures so what u talkin bout? It has just been delayed due to software probs, but the batch that were ok and released sold faster than any of it's predecessors, proof it's a sought after and great phone, now shut your face you stupid woman!

Writing SMS messages is a joy using the new ITAP technology. There is a message length counter at the top of the screen, so you can keep an eye on the length of your messages.
The new ITAP technology remembers your most commonly used words and attempts to guess what words you are trying to type. E.G. if you use the word Experiment a lot when typing your text messages, you will find that the word will either come up first in your list of predicted words to use or it will automatically be displayed on screen when you type for example, ex. I believe that this version of predictive text technology is the best available anywhere! (better than T9)

Just got my v525 today. Camera quality no where near as good as Sharp GX10 which is my last phone. It seems good in general but is quite slow moving around the menu. I think I will put up with it for now but Im not as pleased with it as Id hoped.
