Just got a new V525 but it is failing to receive addresses and photos sent from other phones and palms via bluetooth.
Is there anything special that needs to be set-up?

oh, and to send files to a phone with bluetooth (did this for two v525s) select "find me" on one, go to the picture you want to transfer and press menu on it. Go down to "copy" and press the right soft key. Power on bluetooth. Now select "look for devices". It'll find the other phone and bob's your uncle!

There is no way to record a ringtone easily. The best way is to record it into your computer, jack the volume way up, convert it to an mp3 (low quality), upload it to a webpage and download it via wap.
Use windows recorder to record the sound (along with a microphone), and use dbpoweramp to convert it to a mp3. Then get a website (like geocities or something), upload it and enter the url including your "filename.mp3" into vodafone live.
And are you sure you "need" to be able to do this?

You can save a message to drafts by acting as if you're going to send it. Select a person to text to and go all the way to the final screen where you press "send" and press menu instead. The option to save to drafts is there.
I bluetoothed with my friend's sony-ericson over the week. I had to select "find me" under settings/connection/bluetooth link/setup/ and he found me. Our password thingies were both 0000 and we were linked. I could send him photos by pressing menu on a photo and selecting copy, but any photos he sent me were corrupted. It wasn't possible to send ringtones, unless I'm completely wrong. Once you've connected with another phone once you can do it anytime as long as bluetooth is switched on on both of them.
The phone cost me 109 euro on billphone upgrade. I'd say it's at least that in sterling for pay-as-you-go.
The manual sucks. Someone posted a link below for a PDF manual, but it was too big for me to download or something.
And I'm fairly sure you can't use sound recordings as ringtones - but that would have been cool.
