This was a replacement for a Sony Z600 and it seemed an improvement, particularly the handsfree capability. However I kept missing calls and finally discovered that the buttons on the side were changing the ring mode to Silent when it was in my pocket. The supplying shop advised that you can't lock the ring mode to stop this happening, and other Motorola's are the same. A shame as it was a great business phone in all other respects.

This is a wicked fone! I'd recommend it to anyone whos planning on buying it! The camera is great but the video aint very good! Apart from that its a grand fone! Its a bit bulky but i believe all moto fones r like this? But u soon get used to it and its partly the reason u get such good fotos!x

Yes outgoing messages are stored, not entirely sure how many but you get plenty of warning that you are running out of space. And yes you can type messages in whatever way suits you.
Great little phone and very user friendly.

Hi everyone, great place to come to for help lol, could anyone please tell me does this phone have a sent box/outbox? and if so how many messgaes does it save? i like this as my nokia does and i dont want to buy this phone if it doesnt have this feature, also how many messages does it store in your in box? and finally (sorry to go on) im worried about the text message writing, i dont like predictive text, i like to text the letters one by one....eg if i wanted to type 'dad' id just press 3,2,3 can i do this on this phone

Ok...after much annoyance, I have finally managed to suss out the Bluetooth on my phone....
The instructions given below are somewhat accruate..nut only if you are looking to find a headset, etc.
If you want to send a file (as long as it is not locked) then navigate to your file, click your green answer button and a menu should appear...you want to send your file to a device, which it will start to detect...once detected you can send as per instructed...
Bear in mind though that if you are trying to send ringtones, etc you need to make sure that they are not locked (i.e. have a red padlock next to them!) other than that, you should have no problems

I haven't actually bought this phone but have been looking at it to buy should i but it?
I had the Motorola v525 (the model before this one) and found it really good!
I wasn't able to send media messages and i was on o2 i found out that on whatever network you are on you have to ring that networks help line which costs about 5 quid for the call and they will take you through the steps to be able to send the media messages, so my advice is to go in the shop specialised in your network and get them to ring up the help line to sort it out
hope this helps some people!
oh and if the people in the shop say we've sent a message and you'll receive a txt saying you can send mms, its a load of rubbish and a waste of time it doesn't work!

Gret little phone for the price. Has little bells and whistles and more usefull features than others. Although would like more memory and less useless software preinstaled (such as games) or ability for users to remove features they don't want.

best fone 4 the best value £109. very cheap for all the things u get with it.eg:blue tooth, color screen, camera and vidio recording very good quality. if your looking for a fone make it this one.

Just one more thing I sent a picture to my boyfriend looking like mona lisa from the fotofunpack 2, he now thinks Im strange and prefer women when really I was only having a laugh!! Thanks and Goodbye MOTO!!!!!

Just got the v547 must say its a pile of dog poo on my shoe (cos I cant swear)! it freezes and I have to switch it off and on again before it will work. Not only that it takes terrible photos and highlights my flaws and now Im thinking of having surgery, it makes me look like I cant control my blusher!!! Apart from that get it, its great!!!!!!!! not!!!!!!

wel dudes when i got dis fone i fort i wo gr8 cos i used 2 av a nokia 3410........ yes exactly! so i was a bit apprehensive bout goin onto motorola but in fact its gr8 n i recommend it 2 any1 . x x

please please could someone tell me if i can send the photos from my v547 to my pc and how i do it because ive nearly run out of photo space and dont want to delete any photos as most of them are of my newborn daughter and her first smiles please!!!

i got this phone a few days ago, just sent out one text to all my friends telling them my new number, and now its playing up. it had trouble sending all the texts at once and now when i try to go into my outbox it will only let me once, then when i try to do it again, it jams till i turn it off, then back on, and then it will let me check my outbox just the once again.... im very confused. seems to be the only problem so if anyone can help me id appreciate it!!!thanks

I loved this phone, only problem is I can not get my bluetooth working, by following the instructions given. My husbands phone can find me, but I can not find him and when he tries to send me something it says can not connect. I have looked at all the postings and tried the instructions on one, but still couldn't do it, can anyone help.

ok then, had this phone on trial for week its trendy demands respect classy looking to!!question carnt send mms/video if you download them off wap/internet they come through as locked you can only send video/mms if you make them yourself with phone or using blutooth make sure your phones wap is set to gprs otherwise you carnt receive mms/videos phone also lets you lock your mms/video phonebook etc stop your kids using it you will need phone lock code downside to phone if you constantly play games/videos battery life is poor two days tops on full charge standbye is 3/4 days but hey i can live with that you should to!!!!loads of room for your mms/videos tip is make new folder in each archive shame nokia havnt got something this trendy however dont get to over excited priced at £129.99 my tip is wait for few weeks see if price drops being honest gets 8/10 in our reviews
