I have had this phone(red) for about 2 months now and it working great except the clock is in the 24hr mode. Have no clue on how to change it. The phone has no problem and unlike other people who have said that it has bad service, that is not true at all the phone is not the problem, it's your provider.

I've had this phone, for a couple of months. I crushed my ericsson z200 in a door, and decided to buy this one.
It was probably the WORST investment I've made. This phone has HORRIBLE service. I can't recieve phonecalls in my entire neighborhood. There is constant humming throughout all of my phone calls. I can't seem to switch the 24 hr time to 12 hr time. AND, as a paying cingular customer, I should have accsess to My MEdia. This phone will not allow me to connect to that.
The standard ringtones are annoying... and Unless you know how to work a computer, you are stuck with them.
The camera, worked well for maybe, the first MONTH I had the phone. and then something went wrong, and now I can't even take a clear picture.. The contrast is all off, and no matter how many times I fiddle with the settings, nothing changes. I've reset this phone at least 3 times to factory settings to see if it would take any effect on the camera. It didn't. I've re-looked through the manual, (which is useless) and I've searched on the internet for troubleshooting techniques.
Other annoying bits for this phone. The camera, If you change your settings.. you have to alter them everytime you re-use the camera because they don't "stick". The external display light only turns on, when you shut the phone, or when someone is calling. You can't press a button on the outside to light up the screeen to see the time or how well your service is working.
I should have just gunned up the extra $300 and bought the RAZR.
I think I'll be switching service providers as soon as I turn 18.

I just got the V690 and my internet, Picture and video messaging does not work. i think its the settings but i dont know what they are. if anyone can help please email me.

hey does any one noe how to change the time on this phone from that 24hr to 12 hr format please tell me thanks alot if anyone can help ill be glad....

this phone is great i loved it from the time i got it and its very simple to opperate u just got to explore it a bit if u need any help you can ask me ill be more than happy to answer one thing i dont know is why the light on the lcd in the front is not lighting up anymore? does anyone know email me at nedleb1@hotmail.com or nedassaf@hotmail.com

well, I just bought v690 and I think is an excellent phone,
the time is very easy to change to 12hr ...
if you need help, i cant assist you. write me to my email. but is very easy to change the time and put it for 12hr instead of 24.
i don;t know how everybody here have promblems with that.

Got this ph. about 2 days ago. 1st of all, I too can't change the hours from 24 to 12. 2nd, the battery is not very good since it takes about 2 days for it to be recharged again. Reception is sketchy and some calls are just missed all together. The manual is the worst I have seen. The vib activation is retarded since there is no known short key to activate the vibarator. The ph looks good and is a bit larger than I would like it. I'm shopping around to see if I can find a better ph. I don't think I like this ph at all for reasons mentioned above.

got this phone like 2 weeks ago. already started messing up so i shipped it back to get a new one, just recieved the new one yesterday. then figured that i cant handle not having a 12hr clock format so im gonna return it tomorrow and get a refund :( this phone would of been AWESOME if it stinkin had a 12hr format not 24hr :'(

This is one of the hardest phone to work with. The manual doesn't help much at all. Got lost in the process of following the step-by-step instruction. The reception is terrible. It fluctuate so much that I kept on questioning "can you hear me now?" like the Verizon guy. The resolution for taking picture is crappy! Wanted to toss this phone but don't want to spend anymore money on a new phone. Really regret it.

I got this phone about 6 months ago in Hong Kong and I think it works great. I got proper cables and a software disc for PC connections. The only problems I seem to have is the 24hr/12hr problem everyone else seems to have. I also notice that the reception seems sketchy sometimes. And the battery only lasts for about 2 days before recharging.
These are minor things that I've managed to deal with for this long and I still love this phone.

I've seen the post u guys made about the 12hr/24hr function.
Me being the bored lil' geek I am, I noticed the 24hr mode is engaged ONLY when the calling signal is gone, and it takes 5 to 10 minutes to catch up...wierd huh??? It's a really cool phone but, it does have a few flaws...like turning the ringer volume down on incoming calls. I hated loud phone alerts, I see it as a way for a cell phone user to "Show Off' but, enough for the long story, does anyone have any suggestions about the incoming call alert

I bought this phone while in China. i am now back in the United Staes and I can not download any files, pics or ringtones. I can also no longer send pics. the manual doesn't help, can anyone help me?
