in reply to Katie (HunnYBunnYuk01@hotmail.com) if you got this from O2 then take it back. So far since august I have had 5 V80, three didnt work with wap, MMS and it was resolved by changing the phone, on the other the sound packed up and the 5th one the joystick fell off. A very cool looking phone but never had so many problems with a phone. Have now got a temporary shop phone until the razr v3 arrives and I will then get that!! will miss the pretty colours and sound activated lights!!!!!

Its much better than my last phone, (t100:P) but anyway, jeez this phone has alot of menus, and I kinda dislike reading the manual, does anyone know, how u can setup like when someone calls u, u can see who is calling by a photo, Does this makes sense?

              ok thx anyway

              Cya!

I cant seem to get the WAP working on this phone....it connects to the o2 page easy but wont connect to anything else. Ive searched all the booklets and there are instructions on the net for setting up another motorola model WAP, but it doesnt work for this phone because the menu is different and doeasnt have the same options. I know it seems an easy task, but does anyone have any tips on how to get this damn thing working so i can get ringtones and wallpapers and so on?

                    Question regarding incoming voicemail.
How come my V80 does not show me that I have voicemail messages, and a check message function? I noticed all of the voicemail appears to be shown as test message alert. The icon shows text message (with an envelope); and when I check the message centre, message inbox = 1, and voicemail = 0. I live in Los Angeles, CA area and currently using Cingular. Is there another set up in the phone that I don't know about? Please advise!
                    Thanks in advance.
                    RD

I read some reviews about this phone, and most of them complained about how fragile the joystick is. I thought oh, i'll never happen to me. Exactly a week after buying the phone I dropped it on the pavement, joystick thing has split and doesn't work anymore, and I have some attractive looking scratches on the front :( Since I dropped it, theres probably nothing I can do about taking it back, so if you are the clumsy type and you buy this phone, it won't stay pretty for long!

Battery life problems? Get an updated flex version. The phones are new and warranty will cover this.No delivery reports.Just before you send an SMS on the screen where it has your message content and To: you will see Receipt:No, change this to yes and you will get a delivery report.

                              Hi,

I would really like to get this phone. I live in the US and I have ATT service. I am concerned that the phone does not have an 850 band. How has the reception been for the users in the US. Thanks for your help!

Just to let you all know. I had to take the phone back as i just couldnt get on with it. The poor batt life, the fact it unlocks when you get a message or call, no delivery reports. Dont get me wrong its a nice phone to look at and if thats what your after go for it! Cheers!

I just bought my v80 off eBay. So far its treated me well. I've used Nokia for the past few years, so switching to Motorola is taking a little to get used to. Its a definite head-turner in northside Chicago. It doesn't feel as sturdy as any other cell phone I've handled, as anyone who has the phone cannot deny. I'm wondering if there are any good sites to get MP3 ringtones though.

I kept the phone for now , but I return the battery because it was awfull , after charging the battery 3 times 12 hrs it lasted for 2 days (with minimum use , messages and few calls).I got a new battery but I have read that the usage of battery depends on the flex and the software version of the phone...so will see what to do....how long does yours last ???

yes..i never really put my phone into my pant pocket.. so i guess i "shouldn't" have that problem. which one do you think i should get.. for a teenage girl at 17. the SE k700 or this one??
                                        I care about:
                                        looks
functionality (im NOT that much familiar with the indepth technology and stuff..so i don't care much about the internet stuff.. just the pictures/call/reception/battery)
make of the phone (which one is better made?)
