Hi,
I purchased a Motorola V 878 cell phone from a store named Digital One which is located at Queens, New York. I was recommended to send it abroad with the assurance that it would work fine. I tried to charge the battery and I don't what happened it seemed to me that it was completely out of order. I contacted the store and they said it's broke and won't work. I still couldn't figure out how it happened. Any suggestion will be deeply appreciated since I paid in full for the phone and never received any service from it since I purchased it. May I ask motorola for a replacement or any compensation about it? Please let me know.

i had to deal with a angry customer again with this model! This phone is such a looser I hope motorola will take it off the market!

after a month of using it, the screen went blank. i got another one, and now, after only 3 months of using it, i can't seem to charge the battery....it seems like the battery is dead now...this phone looks nice, but it's a junk...hope the phone still works when i put in a new battery....anyone else w similar problems..?

going on 2 mths and nothing wrong...yet. one weird thing, i have Cingular here in the US and everytime i check my voice mail and erase one i get a blank text message right after i hang up. bizarre! any thoughts out there? thanks.

another poor customer stuck with a piece of junk. My deepest sympathy goes out for you Jarrett... I hope you can get it fixed somehow and be able to use it again.

I know that the phone is crap and I got ripped off, but does anyone know how to fix it because it has no reception at all and the screen say it has no service, even though the sim works fine on another phone? Maybe something with the settings, or just a true piece of SH*T

HELLO EVERYONE I M A MOTOROLA FAN I M CURRENTLY USING THE E398 AND ~SHUN~ i would like to say that most of the moto colour phones' screen are very mush bigger and nicer than nokia phones ... ha anyway this is a great and small phones with most of the 'WANTED' features by the current mobile phone users this phone should be graded an 8 out of 10 !but too bad it does not support bluetooth

I love nokia phones. But i'm currently using V878. One of the few good phones motorola produced! Give some credits to the designer for its stylish design. Elegant and modern especially for ladies. Small enough for Levi's pockets. The camera is great but the video's screen is TOO small. SMSing shouldn't be a problem once you get used to it. I agree with Mihai! No java games compatible for this phone. They just won't work!!! Battery life is short. Can only for 2.5 day(maximum). Easy to use:User-Friendly. This phone is still surviving after numerous falls on the grounf and into the rubbish bin while i was trying to charge. 6 months... I'm proud of it!

Does anyone know how many SMS messages this thing can store? And is it really that bad or was there just a bad batch of phones?

Well guys... I think I'm one of the few lucky ones!!! I bought my V878 champion in FEBRUARY and so far nothing is wrong with it!!! I bought it from Aruba and it seems to me that the first pieces released on the market were way better than what's sold now. Thank God nothing happened to it and I hope nothing will from now on. I sure know I will take it easy on it after all I have read here(because I dropped it allready a few times really hard on the asfalt hehe!!). But no: absolutely no problem for me! Everything works perfectly and I'm pretty much pleased of what it has. I could have used the Bluetooth and a memory card slot though. And the price: ay ay ay!!!

thenx..i think we're all talking about the asian version too..i have the chanmpaigne color,but right now, i am just hoping that it will last till july, so then it would be a yr till my contract will be over. Then i can just get a new phone, w/out paying so much =)

i just brought a new motorola v878 and have a problem with it. my battery last only for 1- 1 1/2 a day. why is it?

my deepest sympathy goes to you Annie.... You got stuck with the piece of junk like everyone else who bought this model and other motorola. I hope you can get it fixed or exchanged there where you live. Like the V300, 600, 180, etc. it just wasn't design right and it's plagued with problems.

this fone has been perfect on me as of now thank god... i have the asian version of the phone, the white one. i dont know what r u guys talking about.. the phone has fallin a few times as well and its still working.

i bought this phone in july, and everything was perfect until 2 moths ago. The phone went dead on me, i went to the dealer and bought a different battery,cuz they told me the battery was dead. As soon as i got home, the new battery went dead on me. So i bought it back to the dealer, and he told me he will get it repair for me. After a month, they gave me a new v878, but as soon as got home, the phone was dead again. SO once again, i went back there and told them about the problem. For some reason, the battery worked once i got there, cuz they used their charger. I loved this phone. BUT IT SUCKS!...Clearly, the battery is defective..i should have went w/ my first choice, and get the v600..Currently the v878 is working, but i am just waiting until it goes off on me again. argh!
