I have just bought the Motorola W220 as the RADIO and the SPEAKER sound quality is excellent. If you want a simple but stylish cell then it's the cell to go for. Only if Motorola could have put MP3 ringtones it would have been a 5 star cell for the price of a motel. In the specifications area it is written for ringtones{MP3 like} can any one tell me what is meant by that? Please mail me at tekkan.speed@gamil.com. All in all it is a fablous cell and thanx once again, MOTOROLA.

I just bought this phone yesterday. And I love it! First, you can store 600 names in the phonebook memory. Second, it has a very stylish aesthetic (i bought the one in all black) It doesn't really look "cheap". Third, it's affordable if you're budget-conscious. Fourth, I bought this phone 'coz I would want to try Motorola for a change. I like its font better than Nokia and other brands when you read and compose messages. All you need for a basic phone (making calls and sending messages) are here, plus of course, the FM Radio! Two thumbs up! =)

What do you need a cell phone....?
To stay connected via calls and text messages....This should be the basic feature of the cell phone....
If you need a camera, then go and buy a separate one....you will get a 3 - 4 mp camera...at a relatively cheap price...
This phone is stylish and has all the basic features the cell phone should have....pls stop cribbing....
It has good talk time and stand by time...
Its a stylish phone at a the cheapest price....Nokia phones dont even have a good finish....
Guys who just need cell phone to communicate...then this one is for u...Motorola Flip Rocks...

hi
i am using w220 and let me tell that its a fantastic phone. i really wanted this type of phone only which has flip, fm, 600 phone entries, 250 messages, polyphonic ringtones etc. The manual is quite easy to refer and the phone has nice classification options.
Thanx

HI ALL!I think this is a good deal but of course I miss out on the easier navigation and better phone book and messaging options of Nokia. But then the sound quality is good, the bad part is that when one wants to control the volume of the voice of the caller, one's own voice volume also gets controlled....really troublesome feature I thought!! But then, we can't have everything right?Cheers!

Someone replied to my question of how to lock keypad, "...to lock the keypad press Center Button and then *".
That does not work. I tried it. Infact, many of my friends who have this model tried, and it did not work. Looks like, this model does not support keypad lock.
Moreover, does it make sense to have keypad lock when its a flip model? May be motorola thinks that its not worth to support that in a flip model. Closing the flip is like locking the keypad...? May be ....

Does anyone know how to lock the keypad in this phone?
I mean, what is the equivalent of < Menu + * > key combination press to lock/unlock the keypad , which we usually find in Nokia phones?
I tried all combinations in this phone, none worked. User Manual also doesn't mention about this feature.

I think thi is a good phone. I have seen and checked many phones from SE to Nokia and SAMSUNG. They offer you too many things which we hardly use and still pay for it. This phone has sufficent features for smart users and all functions are at its best. Sound out put(voice and FM) are just astounding. Front panel indicators are very helpful. And smooth key pad. What else common user wants in mobile.
