I have been using my Motorola W233 Renew for well over 12 years, thanks to its quality and a replaceable battery. Am only now putting it aside because it is only 850 and 1900 MHz GSM and soon to be incompatible with T-Mobile USA network. So long, old friend. I will miss your small size and durability.

how can i use this phone motorola w233 here in the philippines? every time i turn it on INSERT SIM or emergency call only.is there a app that i can download to open the line here?i badly need an answer ASAP! or where can i go to open the line?

I got this phone with a FIDO plan and it lived up to its expectations. After having some experience with a W510, the W233 has a better OS.

i've had it for a year now and its had its *MINOR* issues but its totaly worth it... 50$ and i dont pay a cent for ringtones and witha 1 gb sd card i can have over 200!!!!! songs but today the phone has been saying "memory is full!" and i have no messages on my phone no browsing history all my contacts are on sim and no music ... basically it has nothing but factory crap on it lol but still WORTH IT!!!

got it for $29.99 as a temporary fone, n i jst love it... had a 256 MB micro sd in ma closet.... popped it in and for this price MP3, COLOR SCEEN, SPEAKER PHONE, MICRO SD SUPPORT, USB 1.1 n most of all its GREEN... um loviinnn it :) GOD JOB MOTO!!!

I HATE HATE HATE this phone!
It started out as an okay phone, not sure if I just got a bad one or not, but it just started to crap out on me. The charger just stopped connecting to the phone itself, I would have to fiddle with it just to get it to start charging, and it got increasingly harder to charge as time went on. It's to the point that I can hardly charge it, and have to get a new phone. I have had it for maybe just over a year, but I started having problems after only a couple months.
I would not recommend this phone, my old one worked much better... and had way cooler features and was easier to use!

m, 21 Mar 2010 * Tayana Can't use my memory card on it keep on tell... moreCopy songs,if any,from MicroSd to computer.Then reinsert card in phone and go to settings and format card.Use any camera usb cable to connect phone to computer, Windows should load phone automatically.ALso say "yes" to phone as storage device.Open Windows media player and hit sync. Drag and drop songs in list and then run sync.Files will get copied to card and music player should work.

Try creating a folder for music and one for pictures on the memory card

If you want a phone that you can use to call people with and nothing else, this is the phone for you. I like it, it was cheap and doesn't have 5,000 features that I'll never use.

I just got this phone as of yesterday, Nov. 25th 09. The USB connection does not work at all. No access to my 2 GB microSD. There is no driver support for it in order for me to charge it through my computer. The booklet informed me to go to www.motorola.com/supoort/W233 and I am taken to another non-supportted site. Also I can not Reg. the phone at Motorola.com. These bad feature of the W233 Motorola phone should not exist. Now I am stuck with a P.O.S.
Angry customer.
