hi, just came from moto shop
there's actually a trick for that and it is a known issue.
try this:
>go to the In call Setup
>Call Cost set up
>credit limit
>put in the Pin2 code (1234 as default)
>set values to 9999999 (should be seven 9s)
and that's it, it should work

mjay, 20 Dec 2008hi i just wanna ask why i can't call any one with my w388..... moresame here, once the call comes in, answer it then it would be disconnected, i tried to reset the phone, nogo . . . is it a bug or something??

1)i have contacts from both phone & sim memory
but, i can't set sim contact no. and it's display both of them in contact so, how can i set sim contact no ?
2)i set the screen saver from the phone but, it can't be display(come) on mobile. so, plz help me.

I've been using this phone for nearly 1 month.The problem im facing now is that whenever i listen to the mp3 for more than 3 hours and i want to shut the phone off,it will hang.For the rest of the functions such as messaging,it seems to respond quick.

Plug usb cable to pc "connect to storage mode > yes"
>> In storage mode, no regular phone activities can't be done.
Explore attached drives as a internal-memory and a external sd card.

Such a nice phone. I love it coz it is very resonable price. U can listen to the FM and MP3(available up to 2 GB T-flash slot). I use my grey Moto earpiece, making the sound louder and nicer than a new black one. Telling u the truth, It cost 45 dollars as a 2nd hand one that I had it coinsidently. If u guys have a data connector u can tranfer your music and images easily without any software. It accept MP3 and AMR files but can't use AMR as a ringtone. It is quite small and has a suitable screen compared to its own body. The sound of ringtone is good. It is not for the ones who love taking photos. Also no equlizer for MP3 player.

hey ppl i discovered a new problm; i simply cant receive ne call; ne call 4m ne type of phone will simply restart my mobile; i dont even understand whether its network or handset's problem i bought it just a week ago; i received only 2 calls previously please help if u know d solution; shud i approach my service guy

hard to use the keypad...for txtbomb like me it is not recommended...very slow in typing...hard to use soft keys...

fred , 15 Nov 2008i bought my celphone a month ago and its good at all,only o... moreyes i just experienced that yesterday. My boss called me and it automatically ended. Four time call atempt, it didnt reach me. I have thought of "maybe im pressing the wrong keys" but heck!, im a celphone user for years and i cant be wrong.
So tell me, are there any improvements in yiur case so far? thanks :)

i think moto deliberately took out bluetooth coz recent studies show that mobile hack thro bluetooth is on a rise.
the looks of this phone are somewhat similar to -

though looks same 4m a distance :)
the hear phones r smaller compared to w270.
keypad is much better than w270;
biggest missing component is video recording given that u hav 2gb of space.
in short - "for the price there's no other match"

donno y dis fone gets stuck wen eva its battery gets zero n responds too slow aftr initial charge.....otherwise wen the earplug sound rocks ,the speakr fone sound sucks!!!also all in all it just gets average credits as its keypad should hav been made of softer keys.....bt no one provides better msgin n phonebook than motorola storage .....which saves dis fone from being thrown away....!!!
