Motorola ZN5 can do multitasking. It can handle a java game, internet browsing and read a document at the same time. I have done that. But it is not the king of multitasking, that award goes to Sony Ericsson. Buy Sony Ericsson C901 if multitasking is your primary requirment. C901 have almost same set of features as ZN5.
As for Nokia 5530, it is a touch screen phone. Actually 5300 & ZN5 should never be compared because they belong to different segment.
So,
1) Want the best 5MP camera phone with zenon flash, one of best music player with stonking bass and market leading audio quality, crystal clear radio reception, great built quality to last a decade with somewhat slow user interface -> Motorola ZN5
2) Want one(not the best) 5MP camera phone with zenon flash, one of best music player with a lot of customization options and very good audio quality, very fast user interface and truely multitasking king. -> Sony Ericsson C901
3) Want a great display, touch screen capibility, one of the best audio player & exceptional audio quality, not so good camera-> Nokia 5530
So, now the choice is yours.

I wanna buy a new phone ,but its not easy to choose between 5530 or zn5 .neither 5530 nor zn5 isnt use an OS .
If zn5 can do a multitasking ,i'll buy it .in indonesia ,their price is quite same .

there are 2 kind of public opinions about this mobile.
1: (those who havent used it) its motorola mobile and we dont like it. so, we dont rate it.
2: (those who used it, no matter if only once) its just awesome.
i really agree with the second opinion guys.

i have the zn5 for 6mos. now and so far i have all but praises. It's camera is sharp for a phone. It is simple to use wifi/web browsing is great.. since i have wifi at home! good thing i bought it by accident here in the philippines. Ive been a nokia, a sony ericsson and sAMSUng user, and none of those came close to my zn5! good job moto! only wissh there are more apps!

hi my husband gave me zn5 im so happy the camera is good i used it as my digicam.i really love it,i just have one problem,i can't see any case suited for it.

hi everyone i bought this phone 3 days ago from iran photo quality is very good but there is some problems for me i am persian and this phone does not support persian or arabic and the other is I live in iran and i cant update my firmware because my country's name is not in the list when i want to upgrade i would appreciate for any help

regarding with photo quality, which one is better firmware 05R or ODR ? or something else ?, I heard 05R is the best firmware for photo quality. Does anyone here ever compare both firmwares ?

I'm curious that the blur case is just a matter of autofocus?? I've met a handful of people who use phone or even digicam but don't know hot to use the shutter (half press) to focus the lens here in Indonesia

Please tell me Where can i get FR version... moreThe firmware of ZN5 is uses MOTOMAGX Linux-Java(LJ) software platform. It is superior in every way to the P2K platform used before.
But due to some strategic decision, Motorola decided to abondon LJ since it did not feature 3G technology while P2K had it but lacked the rich user experience provide by LJ platform.
Android platform was chosen for the uber expensive touchscreen phones while for non-touchscreen phones the desicion to upgrade P2K platform to provide rich user experince like LJ having 3G was taken and all developments on LJ platform was stopped.
It's a shame while this decision was taken 7FR version was in its development stage and thus was annuled. It had QVGA(320x240) recording stock as well as landscape camera settings and advanced camera stats.
So the latest firmware version available for ZN5 is 0ER.The versions are
7FR > 0ER > 0DR
If any one updates the phone through Motorola software update he/she will get the last officialy relased version 0ER.
7FR may be obtained from dedicated motorola blogs like www.modmymoto.com, etc. But their are a lot of steps to install the firmware and is not as easy as software update. All the procedures for installation is provide their. But be very carefull or your phone will be bricked, and the warranty may also get void.
