I just got the phone last week and here are some true, insightful comments on this amazingly gorgeous phone ;-)
First of all, signal strength is amazing! I previously owned a motorola V9 , which was good with signal already but, because of where I live, it came and went (a bit annyoingly, I must say) . Now I **always** have signal, and what's more cool, 90% of the time full bars.
Call quality is superb, like they named it.. it's crystal clear, loud and crisp.
That alone should encourage you to buy it, it's a phone what you're buying after all!
Design is exquisite, the materials involved are very high quality, and it feels awesome in hand, I have large hands and I feel very comfortable with it. You should treat it carefully though, as with any other gadget, it's exposed to peeling or scratches, but it's sturdy enough to carry around in your jeans pocket.
Camera is very nice and fast, I'm no professional photographer but all I say is I took some shots when clubbing last night and the outcome was sharp pictures in a near-pitch dark environment thanks to the very potent xenon flash. Another feature you might like is the speed, between shots you don't have to wait more than 2 seconds, so you won't miss "that" special pic, and I think that's rather important.
Now my favorite part about this phone. Music department. Genius. Audio spaciation will bring out details on your songs that you've never heard before. It's a whole new level for music lovers, plus you've got the preset equalizers and bass control. 3.5mm jack means you can enjoy even more with your own fancy headphones, but I found myself loving the ones included with the phone. They're that good.
Video is lackluster, but I have hopes that this will be corrected in the near future. Keypad is a bit tricky for the first days but you'll be fine after that period. Phone menu is very responsive and fast, no lags or freezing so far, and the multitasking is nice (i.e. listening to music while texting and sending a file via bluetooth) .

It's not Nokia N82 vs Motolora ZN5 here.. Its bout the best 5MP Camera phone for your money... here Moto ZN5 wins. It may not got any "AWARD". But it surely has got well deserved acclamation from the public & reviewers. I myself am a Nokia User.. But its really a nice & wonderful camera phone.. NO offence... It may not have got Doc viewer functionality, but you only tell me how many times you really use your phone for ur office work or is it something that you call entertainment on the go???
So dear n's ,, Kindly leave the ZN5 users & wannabe users alone .. ZN5 got linux-java.. you can modify it as the way You want.. U can telnet to Linux for many of the stuffs.. you can make your own themes...

at least nokia release 2 series 5 mp camera with carl zeiss lens like n82 n 6220c..moto release one only 5mp...at least n82 have award from T.I.P.A (best imaging device) slimmest 5mp phone is wasted n not worth it if doesnt have gps..secondary camera..doc viewer,.thats why this phone is slimmest coz doesnt have a function like n82. .go n search at google zn5 vs n82..thats ur answer for camera n all rounder perfomance..

aboute the keypad zn5 has morfhin keypad like
roker e8 and its a realy a INVENTION from motorola
that other company cant make it for example when you
want to make a call only number are vailable on keypad
and when you want to take a photo or play music
tne number are hiding and camera button are active
on keypad and for tipe message vey soon you get it
The screen which is quite up to the modern standards.
The screen quality is very high, bearing an evident
advantage over Nokia N82. The colors are maximally
natural and saturated, it’s one of the best screens
on the market.

about keypad
zn5 has morphin keypad near like roker e8
and its VICISSITUDE and PROPRIETARY for motorola
for example : when you want to make a call the numbers keypad are active and when you want take a photo the number are hiden and camera button are active and u can work very easy to this .This way, you can delete any shot or beam it over to another device or online gallery in just on touch.
and keypad is not hard to write massage and very soon u get it beter than simple keypad
