I get two hours talk and 24 hours standby with heavy usage.

Make sure you set the balckight to turn off ASAP

IF you are getting two hours standby your battery is possibly in need of a few charge cycles it is not user replacable.

It is much better than the n900 and has built in speaker and microphone

all the N900 acessories (data suite etc ) work perfectly with the N923 and the N930

I need the instruction for configuration the MMS for the german Network O2 and t-mobil for this NEC N923 phone.

phone uses GSM 900/GSM 1800 only.
                            just ask your cellphone company!

also when you buy make sure it has english language on the menus (unless you read chinese).

Came close to paying 353 UK Pounds. Didn't - was not sure if work in UK. Does it? Will be upset did not buy - but couldn't afford to take chance - sleek, have V3.

I bought this as an addition to my collection as i already own a siemens sx1, communicator 9210i and a motorola v3. It is without a shadow of a doubt the biggest move in mobile phone design in the last 5 years. It is so diminutive that you are scared to hold it tight!! It has a wealth of features when you consider that it is the exact footprint of a credit card. It is in my opinion a marvel of design that it was ever born and a great insight into what we can be expecting to see in the future. It is also the one thing I own that is bound to create a conversation as soon as someone spots it.....it is a real piece of eye candy!!

LOL.. it's probably not a great phone, but it's a proof of concept. eventually there will be many phones this size that perform better.

It's a load of rubbish. Don't buy it and if someone tries to palm one off on you saying it's cool run a mile.

nope. it won't work in the US. Cingular is 850, t-mobile is 1900. this phone uses GSM 900/1800 which is neither.
NEC should make this for north america! i would buy one! seriously!
