hi am disappointed with this phone because from the looks of it seems its as alot but looking at closely makes me just want to give up the all idea of buying any NEC because of limited features and design should the design team style up copy nokia

NEC should stop making cell phones, bcz they r very much poor in understanding the needs of customers,for example this phone has no card slot,but in first look it looks like a PDA,What the hell they r doing

does any one knows if the tv tuner receives pal b/g tv signals of europe ? and if the phone has a loudspeker for the tv ?

what is t he TV decoding standard of this phone?? PAL, SECAM, NTSC? If PAL, which PAL?

Hi peolple!
I found my own answers:
1) tv tuner is analogue an independs on operator;
2) batery life during 200 minutes talking time; half of this watching tv;
3) 2.1" display diagonal size;
4) supports 3d apps JAVA MIDP2.0;
5) no radio tuner;
6) no slot card memory;
7) video yes, mp3 no;
8) no usb port;
9) no speakerphone.
I think that is not a good idea to buy. The only attractive is the tv tuner, we can't listen to the music mp3 & radio. What else can we do then? Nothing else attarctive thing!
I wanted to buy that, but no more!
To cellman: Sharp V402sh kills this!!!! The unique problem is that we can't buy here in Americas. That's too bad.

What is the battery limit with the unit? Hopefully NEC improved the duration of their battery used in this set.

NEC940 is now available here in beijing. but too bad. it wasnt like what i expected. when one watches the tv, it gets its signal from GPRS. thus, you are charged for every minute you are watching.
that will be too expensive!!!!!

woah~.. similar to O2 XDA II. then again, if it is really dual-band, which and how does the TV turner works? Very interested and curious. Sadly NEC mobile phones don't exactly come around to Singapore, even though they have really good looking sets. Sigh~
