New and intriguing details about the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 leak
Although the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC has only been official for a little over a month now, last week we already heard some rumors about its successor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
Today even more details have been outed in China. Intriguingly, it now looks like we'll have both the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro on the market next year.
Only the Pro version will support LPDDR6, and the two SoCs will also differ in their GPUs. Both will be made using TSMC's 2nm process, and will be using third-generation self-developed CPU cores, in a 2+3+3 configuration.
The Pro version will allegedly be around $70 more expensive than this year's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. If all of this is true, then it will be interesting to see which phone makers will choose to go with the 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro next year, and which will choose to save some money by opting for the non-Pro version.

"Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro" At this point they should ditch the name and just refer to the processors by model number which would be more easy to remember and refer.
