New beta update for BlackBerry Priv starts rolling out

Himanshu, 01 October 2016

BlackBerry has started rolling out a new beta update to its Android-powered Priv smartphone, and looks like everyone (except for those on Verizon) is getting it this time.

While the update carries a firmware version of AAG873 for AT&T Piv users, all other units (included factory unlocked ones) will get it as AAG853.

The update should weigh in at around over 157MB, and likely includes Android security patches for the month of October. It may contain other fixes as well, but to confirm this we'll have to wait until the OS gets official.

Now the price has finally dropped, hopefully sales will improve. Best phone I've ever had.
