New leaked images of Huawei Ascend P7 prototype emerge

04 April, 2014

The Huawei Ascend P7 has leaked numerous times already and there's no sign of the trend slowing down. Now the upcoming flagship from the Chinese manufacturer has been pictured again ahead of its impending May 7 release date.

The leak comes out of France, which makes sense as next month's launch event is scheduled to take place in Paris.

If the past leaks we've seen are anything to go by, the Ascend P7 will feature a 5-inch fullHD screen, quad-core processor powered of the Huawei's own HiSilicon architecture, as well as 16GB of internal memory, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP/8MP camera combo, and a 2,460mAh battery.

You may be wondering, then, why the above about screen shows a 720p display and only 1GB of memory. It's likely the pictured device is a prototype of the P7, as Huawei surely wouldn't release a flagship inferior to its predecessor.

Be sure to check back with us on May 7 for full coverage of the Huawei Ascend P7 launch event.
