New MacBook Pro's details confirmed by additional sources, won't be outed at September 7 iPhone event

Vlad, 10 August, 2016

In the past few weeks, more and more details about the big MacBook Pro refresh that Apple's planning for this year have slowly come to light. Thus, we already know that the new Pro will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, it will have an OLED strip in place of the row of function keys, and that you'll find a fingerprint scanner embedded in its power button.

All of these things are confirmed today in a new report citing "people familiar with the matter". We also get a few new details about Apple's upcoming top of the line laptop. It will apparently have an AMD Polaris graphics card as an option, in order to please gamers. Additionally, the trackpad will be wider than in the previous MacBook Pro generation. The new one will have at least one USB Type-C port, and might be launched in gray, gold, and silver color versions.

Now that the rumors are in full swing, you may be wondering when Apple plans on making the new MacBook Pro official. And since it's said to be holding an event on September 7, where the new iPhones will see the light of day, why not intro the laptop there as well, right? Wrong. The sources of today's leak claim it's very unlikely that something like this will happen. So we're either going to get a dedicated MacBook event, or maybe the new Pro will silently go live in Apple's online store one day.

because amd is CHEAP. that's why apple choose it to gain more profit. i hope it will not overheat, because amd is usually warmer than nvidia.
