Newest Samsung Gear VR already sold out at third party retailers

Himanshu, 23 November, 2015

Just a few days after it went on sale in the US, the new 'consumer version' Gear VR headset is already sold out at third party retailers - while Best Buy is now listing the device as 'sold out online', Amazon says it's 'temporarily out of stock'.

However, those planning to purchase the $99 headset aren't completely out of luck as they can still head to the South Korean company's US website to purchase it. It's also worth mentioning that T-Mobile has also confirmed it'll begin carrying the device through its stores later this month.

The company is "working hard to fulfill all orders as quickly as possible," a Samsung spokesperson said.

The headset also recently went up for pre-orders in Europe, where Germany became the first country where Samsung has the device listed on its local website - price tag is €99 and shipping timeline is early December.

You can get google cardboard. Low tech solutions are always the best. Well not best, but more fun. They require a lot more innovation than just slapping together the best technology available.
