alcatel 7 arrives with dual camera and tall screen for $180
Last month alcatel debuted the 5V with a notch and dual-camera main setup with an affordable price tag of $199.99. Today it follows that up by launching the even cheaper alcatel 7 exclusively on metroPCS.
The alcatel 7 has an MT6763T chipset with octa-core CPU running at up to 2.5 GHz. The screen is an LCD with a 6” diagonal and Full HD+ resolution, but no notch like the alcatel 5V. There is no physical button on the front - the fingerprint scanner is positioned on the back, right below the vertical camera setup.
The memory is 2GB/32GB, but alcatel equipped the phone with a microSD slot for up to 128GB more. There is an alcatel-exclusive preinstalled app called CloserTV that brings online streaming and cable TV in one place. The OS is Android Oreo 8.1, but with slight modifications from the manufacturer.

The phone, manufactured by TCL, comes with 4,000 mAh and the company says it can “handle up to 28 hours of talk time and 10.5 hours of video streaming” on a single charge. Since the chipset is an affordable Mediatek platform, there is no Quick Charge technology whatsoever.
The main camera setup has a 12 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary snapper for artificial background blur. The selfie camera is 8 MP and supports Face Unlock that alcatel called FACE KEY technology.

The price of the phone is $179.99, although it can be had for free with a port-in credit and an unlimited LTE deal with metroPCS. If you are already a subscriber of the T-Mobile subsidiary, you can get the alcatel 7 for $129 with new line of service or an upgrade of your plan.

Not with MediaTek perhaps? I mean look at it. 4000mAh but can only stream videos for 10 hours where 3000mAh SD/Exynos phones can do that, if not more. Also no kind of fast charging for a 4000mAh battery is bad
