Blackberry 8830 World Edition

26 Apr, 2007

Blackberry puts the world in your palm by introducing the spanking new Blackberry 8830 World Edition. This Blackberry device clearly knows no boundaries as it has the full GSM/CDMA coverage you'll ever need.

The Blackberry 8830 smartphone will allow you to roam freely around the globe in both GSM 900/1800MHz as well as in CDMA/EV-DO 1900/800MHz networks. Your journeys would definitely go on easier with the integrated GPS receiver. In fact the device is pretty much the same as the already available Blackberry 8800 which doesn't have CDMA support.

The Blackberry 8830 has a large 65K color TFT display with QVGA resolution and comes in the usual Blackberry form factor with the well known RIM user interface. It doesn't feature a camera but that's a usual thing for corporate handhelds. With only 14 mm thickness, the Blackberry 8830 also has Bluetooth support and a microSD memory card slot.

The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone will be available in May 2007 at an estimated price of 500 US dollars before any carrier subsidies or rebates.

Sorry, but the BB 8830 DOES NOT have a camera. I have owned this model for nearly 2 yrs already. And, unless I got a lemon...it just ain't so. Which Verizon store did you purchase yours from?
