Instagram now hides post likes in more countries

In Canada, Instagram has been testing a change to its platform that hides the number of likes on posts so only the owner can see them.

Now Instagram has expanded the trial to several new countries including Ireland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. Likes are usually used as a metric to compare posts to one another, as well as subjectively measure popularity.

We are testing this because we want your followers to focus on the photos and videos you share, not on how many likes they get.

Instagram has recently rolled out a new anti-bullying measure that pre-flags nasty comments and makes the commenter think again about the comment.

The Restrict feature was also introduced to let you hide hateful comments from your posts.

Eventually they will hide comments that do not agree with the narrative. American-owned discussion forums like reddit.com is already doing this -- you even have to use specific sorting criteria to dig out certain replies or posts, or they are simply ...

The reason instagram existed was for pictures. In reality they need to keep like and dislike and remove comments. Anyone reads Celebs' commentators??
