iQOO 12 price in India leaks

Vlad, 30 November 2023

The iQOO 12 has already been introduced for the Chinese market, and it's scheduled to make its debut in India on December 12. 12 on 12, as it were - nice one, iQOO.

Today the price for the upcoming device in India has been leaked by two usually reliable sources. They both seem to corroborate each other, saying that the iQOO 12 will start at around or under INR 55,000.

For what it's worth, a picture claimed to show the label on the box says INR 5x,999, and 55,000 (or a tiny bit less) is definitely in that range. Apparently, the MRP will be INR 56,999. All of these are, of course, for the base variant - which in this case will be plenty capable, coming with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

There will also be one with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. As always, expect to see various bank offers too, further reducing the launch price. The iQOO 12 will ship with Android 14 out of the box - this has been confirmed officially already. Furthermore, the device will get three major Android updates and four years of security patches.

The iQOO 12 will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC at the helm, a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 64 MP telephoto shooter. If it's identical to the Chinese model, then expect it to have a 6.78-inch 144 Hz AMOLED screen with 3,000-nit peak brightness, a 16 MP selfie snapper, and support for 120W fast wired charging too.

Reminds me of the back of the Nokia 808 Pureview, which I sadly sold a few years ago, that was in perfect condition. It was sad to keep it in a drawer through lack of use, so selling it to someone who would make use of it, was the obvious thing to do...

I will wait for Xiaomi to rename K70 series in India and decide later.
