Prodigal Son, 15 Feb 2024Official A14 released for the device today.very nice. just booting into mine right now, glad I procrastinated it a bit, or I would have had the previous build. Thanks to LineageOS. So far it's the fastest phone I have when it comes to snappy reactive UI, which is important to me. My Moto G Stylus (2021) seemed OK when I first got it, then regrets came later after only a year'ish of updates. So it'll be fun to see how this Android 14 will do with older hardware! I want to get LineageOS going on Moto G Stylus because it has so much potential hardware. It's 4 years newer, and yet only 1 more Gb of memory, lol. Great battery though.

I had this phone and loved it, but the OS aged to the point where security apps I needed for work would not work, and calling over internet stopped working. Shame no one makes a decent basic non-Apple SMALL phone, unlocked, for those of us who don't want a tablet in our pocket.

Timalay, 28 Aug 2020Has anybody used a 1tb SD card on this phone? Yes, works well. Don't fill it up as it might cause hanging issues since the phone takes time to read the data

I got one of these used & flashed LineageOS on it. Currently on LineageOS 19.1(Android 12 based), and running fairly smoothly barring several Android 12 bugs.

I have been using Moto X4 since 2018 and I bought it only at Rs 12,000. This phone shows great potentials but thanks to bloatwares, the phone started lagging, hanging, and lethargic. I conducted extensive research to find phone with similar configuration but no luck. The phones with such configurations are either expensive or not available in India. I am switching this phone with new one. I havent decided any but will really miss this phone.

Moto X4 is the best budget phone I've used. Using it since Nov 2018 and still going gr8. Though I'm planning to upgrade now but X4 will still remain with me as secondary phone. Good camera, decent battery, nice Android experience, IP 67, superb built quality just loved everything in this phone. In its fourth year it's lagging in few apps and a little slow to load some apps, not the phones fault, it's just that technology has gone ahead. But I love this phone.

if you are using it and using Instagram in it please tell its working good in urs. because in mine there is a button line black bug from the update of auguest 2021 of Instagram and I cant use properly Instagram in it.

Pros:
1)Very high build quality, truly beautiful phone (esp Sterling Blue)
2) Nice compact size
3) High ppi screen
4) Waterproof
5) Near stock Android with useful Moto add ons
6) Turbo fast charging
7) Fi compatible
Cons:
1) Needed a bit more RAM, esp lower memory version
2) Not super well optimized - laggy sometimes, esp the camera.
3) Camera HDR not equal to Google's
4) Slippery as an ice cube.
5) Battery only adequate.
