Nokia 5250 manual leaks, reveals limited connectivity

11 August, 2010

Another day, another news concerning the still unannounced Nokia 5250. This time we have the phone's guide which reveals a few more of its features. Apparently this will be a rather low-end smartphone, coming with a rather short specs sheet.

The more details about the Nokia 5250 come to light the more convinced we get that this is actually Nokia's smartphone-for-under-100-euro we're looking at. The device will be based on the Symbian platform, using the S60 5th Edition UI (or Symbian^1 if you will) and it will be controlled through a touchscreen of yet unknown size.

The Nokia 5250 will pack a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot as well as support for Bluetooth. However, while the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic sports Wi-Fi and the Nokia 5230 carries along a built-in GPS receiver and 3G radio, the 5250 will have none of those. The question is: Will there be enough demand for a smartphone with such limited connectivity?.

Well, we'll have to wait for the official Nokia 5250 announcement and check out its price to know the answer. And judging by the increasing frequency of those leaks that moment can't be too far away now.
