Opera Mobile 10 beta now available for Windows Mobile

18 November, 2009

The latest and greatest Opera Mobile 10 beta has been around for Symbian OS for a couple of weeks now, but it's only now that it's available to the Windows Mobile crowd as well. You can download it for free as we speak.

Windows Mobile users would finally be able to download a beta version of one of the best mobile web browser (and free, too). According to the developers, with this release they are now able to offer consistent user experience across all the various platforms that support their Opera browsers (even desktop).

Meet the new Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile

Basically, the Opera Mobile 10 beta for WinMo smartphones should be the same as the one for Symbian-based devices and similar in features to the recent Opera Mini 5 (the Opera browser for non-smartphones). So, you get the Speed Dial (which is nothing else but a list of visual bookmarks), the tabbed browsing (allowing you to browse multiple web sites at a time) and the new, more intuitive interface. There's also a login manager and an option for server-side compression Opera Turbo.

And here is a short video demonstrating the Opera Mobile 10 beta for Windows Mobile:

This new version of opera mobile (Opera 10.0)takes up way too much memory. It runs extremely slow on my htc advantage x7510 which has 128 megs of ram. Have to go back to opera 9.5. So much better!!!
