Good fairly compact phone, mine is still working ok, it's just slow compared to newer phones and it doesn't do well with dark photo situations and the front selfie camera isn't brilliant.

Anonymous, 20 May 2023Incorrect, 4G is the generation, it came before lte, LTE is... moreI think you got it wrong way around. 4G is a main generation and standard. LTE is currently part of 4G but doesn't cover all of it and is bit older technology (Name comes from Long Term Evolution of 3G)
Therefore LTE is (a subset of) 4G. However, there's more in 4G which isn't covered by LTE.
In real life most people don't see the difference in speed or performance when using a phone.

Great phone which Ive been using since 2018. Since around July 2022 however, I'm not able to access the 4G network at all in big cities. My mobile data only works in small towns.
My phone company told me that the network mode of my Galaxy A8 is only LTE/3G/2G, which means that I should have never expected 4G network on it unfortunately. Quite disappointing
