The Google Gemini app for Android is now available in the UK and EU

Google's Gemini app for Android is finally available in the UK and EU, many months after its original introduction. You can download it from the Play Store. You can of course use Google's Gemini inside the app, and it can even take over from the Google Assistant if you want it to.

It has to be either or, you can't have both functioning as your assistant at the same time, so you'll have to make a choice on the matter. Also note that Gemini currently can't interact with your smart home devices, so if you have a lot of those it's probably best to stick with the Google Assistant for now.

We're wondering why Gemini couldn't just have been an update to the Google Assistant, but often times the Google way is the needlessly convoluted way, and this seems to be one of those times.

Gemini will also become available on iOS through the Google app in the coming weeks.

I don’t think it’s nonsense and you aren’t thinking too far.

Wow people are becoming so unbelievably lazy. It'd be perfect for the elderly or disabled etc. but regular able bodied people are all over it more than anyone else. It's embarrassing to even read some of these comments.
