Xiaomi posts Mi A3 teardown video that rushes past the screen to get to the cameras
Xiaomi posted an official disassembly video of the Mi A3, its new Android One phone. The process seems simple enough: remove the hybrid card tray and pry open the back, then a screwdriver should help you go all the way.
The video lingers on the cameras – the triple cam on the back and the selfie cam – as those are the best features on the phone. It also stops to point out the Snapdragon 665 chipset, which isn’t everyone’s favorite component. The screen specs are conveniently not mentioned in the video.
There’s a 0.915cc cavity for the loudspeaker, the same size as on the Redmi K20. The 4,030mAh battery has virtually the same capacity as the K20 battery too with the same 18W charging. Even the prices are quite close. Everything is fairly similar, all except that screen and chipset, of course.

I don't get it. Why don't they just release one of their Redmi phones rebranded as an A-series one with a 10% markup and be done with? That's what everybody wants...
