Better to relase it before Christmas and not early 2010. Many like to have this super phone as a Christmas gift.

Sony Ericsson is indeed a great company who deliver(ed) great phones. I had all of their good ones down to the P910, but it was saddled with so many problems ,even after their update that I gave up and chose instead the iPhone. Flexibility wise I prefer of course the P910, because you plug it in the computer and you can transfer from or to it any file you want. It is like any external drive. While with the iPhone you are "chained" to iTunes in such a way that it becomes sometimes masochistic to think you are using such a phone.
The problem with SE too, is that by the time a product is "leaked" or announced, usually the competition had the time to put on the market other phones that make the announced phone by SE obsolete.
I hope that this time I am proven wrong, so that I could get back to the flexibility of a non-iPhone phone!

How desperate they are to make a comeback and start making profit. Adding 3.5mm jack and microSD card slot is just few examples. They even changed their keypad layout to make it more acceptable for the end users. Please read some news.

wow... one hot news seeing from the number of comments... SE is in trouble not because they make bad products, whether or not they're followers they take music and camera phones to the next level with walkman and cybershot, just like the iphone for usability/user-experience, and now palm pre... yeah of course SE isn't always successful ie. symbia UIQ based phones are flops.... but generally SE make v.good products with v.good designs... their slump is because they havent been able to respond to the changing market.. ie. people are now looking for multi-media smartphones or at least just smartphones.. their new direction with entertainment unlimited or whatever should put 'em back in the game... and they need to do it fast...

M2 failed , SE Smartphone [Symbian... moreSense me, best pic, wave technology, customizable panels are some of the patented technologies by Sony Ericsson, I have just mentioned few, there is a very long list. you are right even after so many innovative stuff from them, there is no innovation only because you think without knowing the facts.

Many of the engineers who worked for Sony and Ericsson were trasnferred to Sony Ericsson when this join venture came, so they brought their pool of talent, some of them invented Bluetooth technology in Ericsson, some of them developed noise cancelling headphones, some of them invented the technologies that are still used by Sony & Ericsson which goes to many other customers apart from Sony Ericsson (to name few, LG and HTC), now ST including NXP is with Ericsson, ST_Ericsson joint venture has customer Nokia also.

Do not forget NFC (near field communication) is also one of the baby of ST-Ericsson. Sony, Ericsson, ST, NXP and Sony Ericsson is one team.

Do not challenge the talent, power and innovations of Sony Ericsson.
you do not know but the cell phone (any company) that are using could be from mind of one of the talented engineer from Sony Ericsson.

Android is fairly popular. I personally like the way the OS has integrations with the web, and google search features. The good part it is open source allowing for developers to have real freedom. I would say it rates up there. I happen to really like the interface.
