I doubt I will ever buy anything over 1080p on a smartphone, cuss I'll never want anything bigger than 4.7 - 5", ever.

4K = 4,096x2,160
UHD = 3,840x2,160
They are not the same.
That said, I see no utter use to go for such big resolutions on smartphones.
Full HD on a 6" or lower screen is more than enough for the majority of users, and it doesn't eat battery for breakfast.

Yes that would be amazing. and a quality idea. but we see them in the uk. so i not excited. and wont hold my breath. As Sharp tend to stick to asian terrirtories for the tech. Shame on you Sharp. Just think Galaxy S7 with 4K screen. wow.

I don't see the point of putting 4K displays on smartphones but TVs. Our eyes can't see the difference over an amount of ppis...so i'm asking....why???

designers - please - stop :( ... please stop wasting time and resources to market this PR crap about higher resolution being somehow better... there is no need for 5' screen to go beyond 720p... or else you must move closer than 1 feet that little screen to eye and then your eyesight will cross (cuz - I assume you are not a pirate) - and you immediately move that away (back at about 2 feet)- so nobody in real life will tell a difference EVER!!!! but yea - a benchmarks and geeks can measure resolutions in no real life scenarios :(
