bbula, 03 Nov 2014That actually makes me wonder. Where are those apple users ... moreHi.
I'm a tall guy, with large hands; and I'd say that the perfect screen size is between 4.3" to 4.5" (my thumb needs to reach all corners of the screen).
Never tried to use an iPhone 6/6+, but if either of them fits my hands the way I described above, then that would have the perfect size.

P.S.: The notion of perfect size has shifted over the years, because in 2007 phones were used for calls/texts and occasional web surfing, now they're used for web surfing, social media, video watching and occasionally calls/texts.

End of they day samsung offer the variety so they get the benefit of that. The people that bought low end galaxies aren't going to buy an overpriced iphone and they don't offer a reasonably priced one so they loose out. I assume most of this is to keep the cult myth going that purely based on price iphones are some how more "premium" than what comes out of the same factories with different brand names.

"As per the words of an EE UK employee, for every 3 iPhones sold, there are 7 Samsung Galaxy phones purchased."
Yeah.. Maybe 6 Galaxy Core, Fame and Core.
This sentence is example how you can manipulate with informations.
Average reader now think that for every 3 iPhone 5s/6 Samsung sold 7 Galaxy Alpha, Note or S5 models, but truth isn't even close.

I don't think it's a coincidence samsung doesn't have the best track record when updating phones within a reasonable time frame (on average probably 6 months after Google release the final build), I hope that changes with rumors of lollipop releasing relatively soon.
In regards to the vr while I'll be tempted to pick one up (solely for movies) I think it's a very niche market and if thought about logically I'm sure they could invest money in better ways... (like more update staff, am I right?)
I'd like to see more invested in the Exynos processors, I've heard they have improved greatly beating the snapdragon in all but some graphic benchmarks. I think building on that and the LTE radio inside the SoC, then produce it on a bigger scale so markets like the U.K (where I am) and Europe etc. get the option for the Exynos version in future.

Samsung is like you say definitely not in the same position as Nokia. Hopefully they will do the necessary to get themselves out of the current situation.

To me, it involves a back to basics, reducing slightly the number of models, producing super powerful and dominant high end flagships like they used to, and also at the lower end great and usable phones at affordable prices.

If this means less models, then it is a worthwhile sacrifice in my opinion. And oh, forget about niche products like the VR Goggles etc for now.

Does it include those cheap galaxy phones too (Ace for example)? Because I'm more interested in knowing the Galaxy S and Note versus iphones sales. I would never compare sales of a Toyota corolla versus BMW 7-series (but lexus LS vs BMW 7 is cool)
