Just to be realistic; the most advanced and the most modern smart phone made by SE and the most up to date phone offered by SE is Sony Ericsson "XPERIA 1" period (and this is the fact). What a joke!!!!

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Rachael come in 2009 or 2nd Q 2010??? is just a "pipe dream" look at SE Satio it would come on X'mas perhap the fastest date!!! or on 2010 X'mas for the Rachael or 2011!!! Go for Iphone or Nokia don't expect much from the would be a bankrupt company!!!!

Do you see 3.5mm jack on the top? YES
Do you see the standard SE Propetary fast port on Rachael? NO They're replacing it with miniUSB port on top...

- Why use stylus? Primary purpose is touchscreen to rival iPhone!
2.No matter what, let there be an internal docking (telescopic)
stylus like P1i and NOT an external hanging.
- Why bother? Just plug in charging or USB cable!
3.A camera of 8Mp from Sony calls for a good Xenon Flash to complement it.
- Yes it would be nice but this is SE! Too arrogant to listen to customers!
4.The LED flash should also work as a flash light, just like other SE walkman phones (you never know when you need it).

5.Let there be MEGABASS feature in the media player.
- There usually is.
- Issue should really be that a 3.5mm port is included, but knowing SE, it WON'T!

6.Please include FM radio capability without connecting headphones or any wires.
- It would be nice but VERY doubtful as SE didn't so with their previous phones
- Buy a Bluetooth headset!
7.The transparent camera lens cover should be a little inside rather than at the surface, to protect it from scratches.
- Buy a case so the lens is surrounded by the case which is better than nothing.
- Should worry MORE about scratching the Phone particularly the front Screen instead!!
8.Do not forget to include a front facing camera as well.
- WHY??!!
- How the HECK uses the front facing camera??
I also hope this phone is as thin as the Toshiba TG01.
- Looks thin enough!
And finally make sure the time gap between the Leaks, Announcement and the Release is small.
- You're kidding right?! Not going to happen!
- Why would SE NOT keep the anticipation HIGH like the way Apple does with the iPhone?
- This is known as "public relations" aka PR aka publicity
Anyway.....

Remember... it's business and this is Sony Ericsson, a very Arrogant phone company!

SE Rachel looks good but prefer the White colour!
Hopefully SE doesn't Screw up and keep it "relatively low" priced so people can afford this phone!
Also, it better include a 3.5mm port or why else include a media player??! WTF SE??! LISTEN to your customers for goodness sake??!!!
In addition, include SOME good parts of their Cybershot into the camera! Why even bother with a camera if it doesn't produce good pictures??!! Might as well use a regular digital camera so why pay more for a Friggin' SE phone that has a lousy camera?
Otherwise, SE might as well go home and concentrate on its home markets! Nokia and Samsung still own the majority of the cell phone market and SE needs this one model (out of many) to stay afloat!!
Currently, most SE phones are STILL OVER-priced, look too similar to each other and some have quality issues like using cheap plastic for their bodies!!

I'd be very surprised if SE gives this a Q1 of 2010 release. By then there would probably already be an N98 or an Omnia III...

They aren't changing anything. The rumor is it's gonna be officially announced this month. The pictures are the pictures of the final product.

This phone could be impressive. The trouble is that by the time it gets released it will be another outdated phone. SE is to slow.

great design, great screen size, great OS, great hardware. now, hopefully they got capacitive and great brightness under sunlight (wish they'd cut the bottom part 1/2 inch would have been perfect).

A stylus won't work for capacitive touch screens. For the radio without connecting the headset, I don't consider it a good idea, cuz then they'll have to put both antennas for the radio and the telephone itself inside the phone, I don't know if one might interfere with the other's radiation and reception, but what if it would? I think in the headset would be better.
