Hello, I live in Turkey and I will make a short visit to Chicago in 2 weeks. Does anybody know where I can buy this phone in Chicago and how much it is at the retail shops? Thank you.

I agree with mark. Can we please get some official source about the i8910 HD's "Production Halt" -- i dotting and t crossing is not enough info. Some people have already purchased the device and we want to know if we are going to have to buy a new one and get screwed or if it's only going to be software fixes. We would also like an official quote and official source from samsung on this issue!

Concerning only the i8910 news:
What is the source for the i8910 HD august "relaunch" info please?
(This article is actually widely discussed on many samsung, symbian and other techie sites, but there seems to be no proper official source for it. At leas none that I found. Hopefully you did not guess your "news" from this Samsung press release: http://sg.samsungmobile.com/footer/press/pressReleasesView.do?pressNo=2121. There is no word about anything like "i-dotting and t-crossing" or about re-starting mass production then - it just seems to be about i8910 hitting the market in Singapore on august 1st...)
And if there is a reliable source: Is there any information about the "i-dotting and t-crossing" and wich "issues with the Omnia HD" Samsung wants "to get fixed before the handset received wider availability"?
Will they deal with more than Firmware issues (metallic body and FM-transmitter would be a dream)? Will there be voice dialling and voice control then?

It is just simple to cook a ROM with auto rotation for all apps and enhanced GPS (but this latter could be enabled already by default). Other than that a minor missing feature is digital compass but wth for a few bucks one can be bought on ebay.
