While I'm not gonna waste my IQ in dabbling further with these ridiculous "which country invented what 1st" arguments, let's just get back to the subject at hand...So Nokia scored full 10 points with N97 and 5800 XM at Vodafone UK.That's all well and good but there's still room for some constructive criticism.Having the luxury of currently being the market leader, I still feel that both N97 and 5800 XM are the 2 models rush jobs probably due to inaccurate market predictions.BOTH models could have been delayed properly to extend serious rethinking at hardware, software and general target group standpoints.Samsung waited things out a bit to bring us AMOLED capacitive screens (for example among LOADS of other things) + cooked up a decent Android upcomer and even LG wasn't so quick to get Renoir 2 out for leaks,so what does this tells us?I was with high hopes that the N97 should pose a real threat to the iPhone 3GS but alas we all know that this isn't the case.I don't care about apps not when before anything else basically the UI are already suspect?5800 XM's a hit yes but with enough misses that makes you wonder how a market leader actually approach the related R&D to market trends. The cam in that thing makes my tech noob gf cringe and holler every single day lamenting the fact that her previously half priced SE phone was WAY BETTER in handling the dept.Let's not even begin on the God-awful resistive screen. Now and oddly enough they got 5530 XM as the sister model with ironically a far far better physical design cues than the 5800 itself,Nokia's beginning to stutter the shooting arm it seems.Point is I strongly urge that Nokia exercise proper restraint, patience and due diligence for the next upcoming models;better processors, better multimedia specs and streamline the target series (what's this about X and C series?do we REALLY need another 2 in the market?)and yes get on the Android action to give buyers the option.

If it was easy, the big sport companies (adidas, nike) would support that its products are made in Europe or America. However, in all my clothes from these companies i see: made in China, Phillipines, Vietnam etc...

Anonymous, 20 Jul 2009Can you help us to identify which almighty brand's phones a... moreI prefer Samsung from Nokia, but when Nokia write in the pack of a model: made in Hungary, i trust it... Samsung make the best of its phones in Korea (for example: F700,i900,i8910,i8000,B7610), and the mid and low cell phones in China and in on other Asian country (i dont remember this now). Also i believe that the "made in Korea" Samsung cell phones are the strongest of the world!!!

I think iPhone is a crap piece of junk from own exprerience, or i wouldn't have gone over to the Nokia E71.
It's always the same crap on all threads, iPhone and their 0.6% userbase are sticking their noses where it don't belong.

[deleted post]Do you have a camera phone?
CMOS and CCD both invented in America.
Silicon chips, American, it's amusing that the N97 and 5800 use Texas Instruments OMAP ARM 11 processors made by...
...you guessed it Americans.
Flash and Flash Lite that a lot of you go on about the iPhone not supporting, well Adobe is American too!
Most of you are hypocrits, if you want non American go buy a Samsung at least they make most of their own components.

Maybe it's just Sydney people who give that wannabe Manhattan vibe, i don't know, but thanks for informing me mate. Anyways, i was not talking about the Australian people, i meant politically. What i heard from Australians themselves is that their goverment sucks up to America bigtime, but it's still not the non political aussies fault if it is that way.
