Don't know about you, but it makes no difference to me if it gets an update. Everything I run, works, I don't play games on my device, so that isn't an issue. It's flat STABLE. No FC's, lockups, reboots. I kept 4.1.2 on my old Note1 for well over a year because it was stable, so if they never update it, it won't matter to me.

This phone and its FANTASTIC battery life coupled with screen size is worth twice the $300. Now, if Huawei does what it said it will do yesterday, will definitely get a bigger piece of the U.S. Market. Even if takes until June, it will be a welcomed change to my phone which will be nearly a year old by then.

Huawei, thanks for listening and see if you can beat the June deadline.

agree also, 21 Nov 2014And they are the best in having the least number phone mode... moreThat business model is not sustainable if you're not Apple (Which by the way has other product lines).
Also Huawei has a lot of terminals in different segment.
I will have to agree with @random; your ignorance is astonishing!

And they are the best in having the least number phone models.

Models by the great Nexus: 1 phone per year (wow)
Models by Motorola: 3 models released internationally.

I thought that Huawei said that the phone will not be updated to Kitkat, which is different than saying that it will not be updated to future Android versions. Maybe they were saying that it doesn't make sense to update to Kitkat, but rather to go straight to Lollipop instead.

[deleted post]Yup Motorola and Nexus are always best for performance wise and software update wise. Unlike Samsung,HTC,Sony etc they are failed in providing latest OS by time until we wait until 3-5 months receiving new update.
