hagar, 21 Jul 2009I work for Nokia in the field and 100% know that Xseries is... moreit would make more sense if the Cseries was Communicator Series
cause the communicators were the closest to a mini netbook and they didn't even have those around the time it was made
tablet+ communicator= Cseries
and the Xseries might start the symbian 2 line up
with the nautilus model after their done
IMO

I work for Nokia in the field and 100% know that Xseries is just replacing the XpressMusic brand. X will be music.
Im not sure with C as we havent covered this but I have been told its either. Classic or Computer.

Nokia should just do an upgrade of the exact same model and put an 'S' at the end
e.g. Nokia 5800S Xpressmusic, now with tweeter gadget and capacitatiive screen
Nokia N97S, now with an extra line of numerical buttons

E for Executive
N for Ngage
X for XpressMusic
and C....for crap maybe? xD
Btw an Intel/Nokia phone means nothing, specially now that Nvidia got Tegra with an ARM 11 and decode 1080p video and all with < 1w envelop...and intel got those useless GMA (even my FX 5200 from 2004 is better!)

Nokia should make it easy:
X - Xpressmedia for music
N - high-end phones including combining features that actually work like camera and media player with Wifi
?? - Need low end model for people who wants basic phone But avoid the plastic crap and Add wifi!
How simple is that?
Nokia is just as bad as SE with their phone designations!

Everyone thought Sony Ericsson has a confusing class designation for their phones obviously hasn't noticed Nokia phones!
X - Xpressmusic - (low to mid-level) music phones
N - Nseries - top-line bus/media phones
E - Eseries - low to mid-level phones
Don't know the designations for the other designations of Nokia phones!
Too damn confusing!!

Well with the succsess of the "N" series an now the "E" Series doing well the new series from Nokia might combine both set of features on there new mobiles,Just Hope we get something more Promising from Nokia as the seem to run out of ideas of a good "N" series mobile since the N95 8gb which is still the Best phone Nokia as created, but the N86 was a cheap idea using the N85 body an putting a better camera on it,hope we get a touch screen mobile with keypads from Nokia,as the advantage of the touch screen mobile is you get a larger screen on a mobile for viewing images an videos,so lets wait an see what Nokias got up it sleeve to Shock the Others

For me, it is only a marketing language to boost the sales of Nokia worldwide. Nokia traditional four digits series are nearly full, so they create new digits/letters series. I am proud to be Nokia fan but I donot understand the meaning of the traditional series as well as the new series. For example:
5xxx should be for the young customers target and or youthful people. But I donot understand the following digits (i.e. after its first digit) means. For example: 5320 and 5500, 5130 and 5310...
Why do Nokia give N79 on the phone? Why do Nokia gave the number 71 on the E series?
