MP3 player functionality and just 40 MB storage with no capability to expand?

Just to add, Samsung developed their first watch phone back in 1999 which according to it's designer Ingon Park, US operator Sprint considered carrying in 2000.

Kangheui Cha, vice president of LG's mobile communications design research lab acknowledged that. "There has always been talk about watch phones. Competitors like Sony and Samsung have used them to show their technological capacity,". So, LG is touting its product as the world's first "market-ready" 3g watch phone.

It's actually LG who got the idea from Samsung and worked on it, not the other way around.

Read here, the making of Lg's watch phone:

Stop whinging about 'copying' LG. Your all completely wrong. LG werent the 1st wristphone either, M-60 was. both companies copied. and besides its not exactly an original idea...

ALL companies copy, rework, enhance and draw from every other companies ideas and product models. Get over it. Its how the marketplace works.

No one is truly original. No one.

Why is Samsung always quick to copy LG? I wouldn't be surprised if they come rolling out a transparent concept phone like LG Crystal.

jin, 22 Jul 2009as always copy from LGBack in 2003 samsung announced wrist watch phone You can find it at gsmarea as well. I don't think Lg was in the scene back then. What Lg did was put touch-screen on it and showcased in 2008. So who's copying who is a useless argument. Koreans think alike.

Charging your wristwatch every night ain't that cool. This novel ideas should wait for a microscopic fuel cell or nano nuclear to catch up. And then it'll be cool and practical.

Why would samsung produce such a useless gadget? Samsung phones look great but are whited sepulchure. Very xpensiv & network problems. In kenya we don't need that wrist shit. Just let them improve l700 & u800. Increase battery life. They last 4 1 day or 2. Samsung pull up your heights & socks!
